Hey mommies. So quick question... I've had the same OB for my daughter as i do for this pregnancy. FYI..I had an emergency c-section with her. So anyways at my last appointment (2 weeks ago) he says to me that after my anatomy scan hes going to schedule my csection. So im like ummmm. Ok. 🙄🙄🙄.. So my next ob appt. Is tomorrow and i dont know what to say. I want to try VBAC but i dont know his reasons to suggest another c section. Is the myth true? Once a csection always a csection?

I think it really depends on the situation, where your cut was and how it was done on your previous section. I would talk to your doctor and see what he thinks re the safety of it. I do have a close friend who did a VBAC and it didn't turn out well. :( But then again, so many turn out well. I really think it is case by case.

Just tell him how you feel. He can tell you what's best for your situation.

Yeah. I will talk to him tomorrow.. I just found it very odd for him to suggest a csection off the bat with out even going over the other choices etc. Thanks ladies

Not true, it’s a myth. ALTHOUGH, Some moms can’t physically do VBAC. It depends on your body, the baby and how pregnancy is going. I would ask him and tell them what you want to do (VBAC) and ask if there’s any medical reason why you can’t have one. I had an emergency C, and there’s a good chance I’ll continue with c sections due to my body.

Some women are capable of having a VBAC some are not every woman and pregnancy is different. Just last week I had a patient who was rushed to the OR because of uterine rupture during a monitored VBAC, and she required a complete hysterectomy due to hemorrhage. I’ve seen many patients have very successful and uneventful VBACS too.
My youngest was an emergency csection and due to several factors I can’t even attempt it but wish I could as my previous 2 were naturals. It’s best to speak with your doctor on your feelings and go from there ❤️

I had 2 C-sections prior to having my son. I wanted to have a VBAC with ny son but the hospital I deliver at won't do them bc the OR is on the 1st floor and L&D is on the 5th.

Every doctor nor hospital does not allow VBAC

My mom had a vbac after a c-section. But it all depends on you and your doctor. Ask his reasons for why he wants a c-section again.
