Ok I don’t need any backlash.

Anyone bathe their newborn with olive oil. If so how did u go about it? I have bathed myself that way but not quite sure how to do that with my son for the first couple months or so.

If u have no idea about this subject don’t even comment. This is a real thing that some foreigners do. Don’t be rude in my comments I will report u.

I’ve never heard of this. What are the reasons/benefits? Not being rude. Just curious.

It gives them nourishment while it also cleanses the skin without drying it out. I’m 100% sure there is way more about this. But I am learning this from my husband who wants this for his son.

I know where to find my info and process but I’m not sure to ask (my husband ex mother in law lol) because she is up and down about me but only because she wants to be loyal to her daughter.

They are Brazilian and I loved the idea when we spoke on it 5 years ago when I tried it for myself and my skin glowed and flourished . It’s just a lot of cleaning the tub lol.

Also historically ancient Egyptians bathed with olive oil all the time.

Currently I know Indians do body massages for infants with a similar method but isn’t actually for cleaning but nourishment.

After reading this, I’m about to give everyone in my house an olive oil bath!! I’ve heard of coconut oil, and have been told by my doctor and pediatricians it’s cool to use it, and couldn’t think of the harm in olive oil! I’m definitely researching this and then hitting up Costco to buy olive oil in BULK 😆

I use to make sugar scrubs with olive oil, it’s been used forever like u said back to egyptian times, it’s good for skin, they used it in their hair, good for nails, and cooking. I love olive oil and I tried it just for my sons cradle cap, didn’t work sadly had to get a shampoo that did wonders. Never really thought of using it on his skin though, I wonder if it is okay for a younger baby just bc it’s so thick if it would block pores at all. Idk I’m interested

I used coconut oil for my daughters cradle cap. It worked within a week if comes back maybe try that.

😊.

Also olive oil has mint been negative to me or my husband so I would assume my kids would be okay using it. The way I used it I scrubbed it into my skin and then rinsed off the excess. I even used it to wash my hair.
