Never thought I’d have to deal with something like this.
Never thought I’d have to deal with something like this.
I found my mom talking shit about me this morning to her sister.
I’m absolutely dumbfounded and hurt beyond words right now.
I don’t even know what to do or how to feel.
She just raged on me about not being a good enough mom saying I need a stiff kick in the ass?
That my SO doesn’t support me etc etc
I can’t even feel free to be myself in my own childhood home. Can’t even feel comfortable with my SO.
What in the actual fuck.
I’m hurt and pissed now and really wish I could get away.
I just..... I don’t know how to feel

Wth. Face her &' ask why she got to be so negative towards you and your hubby.
If she can't stay positive about her own daughter, then find you another place. Because having this kind of behavior is worse then anything. I hope everything works out in between you too. Good luck. 🤞

Honestly my family doesn’t acknowledge drama or negativity which pisses me even more off because I know bringing this up would just cause an argument.
It wouldn’t be productive because the conversation would change to them making me the asshole for being upset with it.
My only choice is to ignore her.

My mom always talks about me my SO and my kid. She does it to my siblings too. It's annoying . I've confronted her about it and she'll lie about what she said and change her story. She does it to my siblings too.

Yeah. I’m glad I’m not the only one.
At least your mom is outright judgmental though and you can hate her for it.
My issue is that for soo long my mom has been my friend, even works hard to gain my affection since she played favorites with my brother when I was little till I caught on, we can even confide in each other about everything except she tends to share my secrets with my dad. Not her secrets. Mine. Not my brothers. Mine. Then I’m constantly judged silently for my actions or told to change for the sake of sanity, being a good mom or validation as an adult.
It’s really degrading to my personal security but mostly just pushes me out because I’m not stuck like they are back in the 60’s, with convictions.
I hate how manipulative my parents are.
It’s just silently evil.

You shouldn’t have to deal with that! It’s not healthy for a good relationship, especially for a baby. No judgement though. Maybe you guys could move out? Message me if you ever need someone to talk to girly❤️ You’re never alone.

We only just moved in with my parents in October.
We live here to save money to buy a house. We have lived elsewhere before our daughter was born but couldn’t afford a house without saving significantly.
I think I can stick it out this whole year and save as much as I can but I don’t know about next year. The only reason I had my own apartment before was because I couldn’t live with my parents. After a while they just wear me down.
Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone. I sometimes wish my parents were younger and more forgiving.
It’s hard to watch them get old and start to forget.
I can’t really get mad at them when I’m only a few years away from taking care of them.
