Hey ladies my son had tubes put in his ears today. I need some advice for what all can I do to help him rest tonight. N what can I give him to help him stop feeling nauseated from the anesthesia
It said give him Tylenol every 4 hours n put ear drops in his ear twice d a day
When my son had them I was told he could only take tylonel for the next few days. Nothing else. My son has had them for almost 2 years now. Keep water out of his ears, and just hold him to comfort him as much as possible. He may tug at them but it's normal. If he ever gets an ear infection they will leak out fluids. My son has yet to have one with his tubes.
@twilliam no he was actually just fine, he cried a little bit after he woke up but once he was awake he was happy like nothing happened. Have you called the doctors . Maybe he's having a reaction from it.
Ibuprofen helped me when I had mine put in a few years ago. For the nausea I’m not sure
Ok thank you because he’s in a lot of pain. N how long did the pain last for you
My son had his put in at 9 months and showed no signs of pain. I would give tylenol so he's comfortable and call the doctors office. Check the paperwork you got and see if it mentions discomfort and what to do
