My 22 month old cant let go of the bottle and he wont take milk in a sippy cup or a straw cup he makes a foochy face.…

Yeah im just gonna throw it away. Im starting to hate it because hes old enough already and hes way more understanding now with a lot of things so im just gonna make up a story lol thanks guys I appreciate ya’ll!!

Try a big boy cup. a small regular cup and yes I would toss the bottle.

I got rid of the bottle little bit at a time. I stopped giving her morning bottles, then afternoon and last was night bottle. The night bottle took a little longer but once I give her just water she didn’t want it anymore. Now she drinks out Sippy cup with a straw

It was actually really easy for us to take the bottle from our son on his 1st birthday because he hadn’t formed a true attachment to it yet. I’d honestly just throw it away. My friend kept giving in to her daughter so her daughter had it until she was 4.

My son got his bottle taken away at 2.5 (yes it was late) but he won’t drink milk anymore. Only water

My second daughter was the same way, would only take juice in a sippy cup. I tried adding choc, straw, caramel syrup to get her to take it and she would spit it out at me. To this day won’t drink milk

Give him the bottle with water and milk only in a cuppy. He won’t want it for long when he notices. Lol that’s what I had to do.

Mine still drinks from a bottle and he will be 2 next month. I need a way too, he always tells me “ba, ba” and he wants a milk bottle. But when I give him his sippy he will only take juice from it

Try this one out, Damian would do the same (foochy face) so I would give him warm milk in this cup and he liked it. He’s almost 16m and he falls asleep without milk.

Mine I still on the bottle but only for bed time. He has been very very good with sippy cup during the day. I'm trying to cut bottle at night but my bf isn't very supportive because he doesn't want to hear him whine, like hello what do you think is going to happen. He actually works at night now so I can take over 😂

My son is STILL on his bottle 🙃 I’m working on getting him off and he gets 4oz if milk or less in his bottle and if he drinks all that he gets water and that’s it slowly I’ll start only giving him water in it but he doesn’t like that so eventually he’ll just be like “screw this” lol

Docs always recommend to offer then sippy cups or regular cups is not then don’t give it to them. My daughter loves cups anyways but I’ll be offering her milk and juices in a straw sippy cup like I’ve been doing and totally taking bottles away now that she’ll be 1 tomorrow.

What I did was just toss all bottles and get a soft spout sippy cup and I put the formula in it when he wanted formula and he had to learn that the only way he'd get the formula is if he used the sippy cup. Once he wanted it bad enough he figured it out and we never went back to bottles

I most definitely have this problem as well so I'm definitely following. the way I got rid of his pacifier was I literally just took it away never gave give it back so I'm not sure if I should just do the same with this bottle

Toss the bottle. He’ll figure it out. Jacob will only drink milk from a take and toss straw cup. Water he’ll drink from any other straw cup. Milk is special for him

My son drank a bottle until almost 18 months. I started making a big deal about the “Bottle Fairy”. I told him that the bottle fairy was going to come and get all of his old bottles and give them to a baby that needs them and would leave him a special surprise. That night I took every bottle and anything that went with them and bagged them up and put them away and left him a toy in the place of the drying rack. He was ok with it. He made me go check the dishwasher at nap and bedtime to make sure there were no more bottles and within a couple of days, he was totally fine and never mentioned them again.

Only offer him sippys or straws. We tossed the bottle for my oldest about 16 months? He has one specific one he likes to drink milk out of and all the others he isn’t picky, but you might have to find one your son likes.
