How do I get my son more interested in a sippy cup or any cup in general while he's eating? His doctor told me today he should start being weened from his bottle but he won't take any sippy cups. I have bought several different kinds and myself and my mom and dad encourage it while eating and he refuses. So I give him a small bottle of juice after he eaTs.

My daughter just started the avent transition sippy cup. She took milk from it the first time over the weekend. However, will she hold it... of course not. Only as a toy🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

My daughter used soft tip Dr brown sippys starting at six months but she never drank very much. After she was a year she figured out how to use a straw and we switched to take and toss sippy cups with covers and straws. Now if traveling we still use Dr. Brown's but at home always the take and toss
@snow_bunny_diva95, I'll try to encourage more and have my mom do the same when she's babysitting. I'll buy a couple more too
I would try the soft tip sippy cup. That's what i did w my son.
@snow_bunny_diva95, I have an avent sippy cup that has the regular nipple and the soft spout nipple maybe I'll try to encourage that one more. I have the dr Browns one too but that one is harder
@badadvicemom, I know it. It's just bad for his teeth and I feel like he's falling behind on where he should be for his age :/ he's just really stubborn and takes his own time but with things his doctor was telling me just made me feel like he should be more advanced and maybe I'm not doing enough :/
I totally understand. The one thing to keep in mind is no one goes to college with a bottle. He'll eventually grow out of it. Just keep pushing.
@badadvicemom, I thought that's what you meant. His doctor basically said the same thing. That he'll have to eventually take to it if I don't give him anything else. I have a 360 cup but he doesn't like it. It doesn't help that I work nights so my mom works with him on it and then he goes with his father so idk what he does with him. So it's hard to make the transition. I know my mom really try's though cause she gets on me about it lol but his dad I can only relay things to him then it's in gods hands.

Drinking it he still pushes it away or turns his head sometimes I try to force it to let him know it's something he likes inside but it still doesn't work. It's kind of like women trying to figure out what bottle to use cause baby refuses every bottle... He wasn't like that though for bottles! He took whatever I have him.
@missjess "rip it off like a bandaid". Take it away and eventually they'll take something else. You could even try a normal cup with lots of help and transition to the 360 cup.
My son will drink a sippy cup during the day but wont at night or at nap time. I got him interested in a sippy cup when he started wanting to drink from my cup so i pretend to drink from a sippy cup and he would want it.

What sippy cups do you use? My son will be 7 months soon and I wanted to try a sippy cup but there are soooo many! He try’s to hold his bottle sometimes and I wanted a cup to help him transition. Any recommendations???? Thanks ladies!!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I need advice, trying to get my 13month old on a sippy cup and I can not find one he likes :( iv tried the one that goes with his bottle and he hates it , he hates all of them :( any sippy cups that go well with the nuk bottles? I think he likes the little nipple it has to it and all the cups are bigger :(
I would say if he's not taking a cup my now. Just take all his bottles away. It will be pure hell at first but he will drink the cup eventually. Once new yrs hits my son will no longer have his bottles. Im weaning him slowly... He's teething been having ear infection cold and all that since end of Oct so I'm not pushing it to much right now cuz I now He's not feeling well an crabby enough but he's feeling better.
