What was you like after your sweep??
I had a sweep today at 37+6 ready for induction Friday
Sweep was just after 1pm posterior cervix and 1cm. For the passed 2hrs I've had period pains and back ache constant and have had the palest pink/Brown when wipe but only small amounts

I'm just wondering whether this is going to work. The pain is painful. But the 1cm doesn't give me much hope and I need to go hospital as soon as I think I'm in labour as I need antibiotics first x
Did the midwife mention if she thought it would work? Ya 1cm dilated so somethings already happening, sweeps are to help things kick off so it could help. Has the pains been gettin stronger or same all the time? Are they on an off xx
@x-t-x she just said it will help and it's good cos I've already had a baby. Not much really. There was slight pains after was super uncomfortable when she did it. But the last 1-2hrs has been more painful and the pink when wipe x
@miss_bubbles, oooooh if the pains getting stronger it could be the start, if they get more painful an frequent I’d phone up and see what the hospital says. You could get on of them contractions timer app see if there’s a pattern starting etc xx
After my show later on in the day I had the mucus plug show then early hours the next day had pains, by evening I was in hospital and had my baby boy at 2.10am xx
I had mine when I was over due, I was 4cm dilated, waters bulging & cervix 100% already to go. I did bleed a bit afterwards but was red not pale pinky/brown I also had like dull period pains afterwards then they eased off until I was woken up that night by sir with a hard punch/kick and a stomachache not long after my waters broke x
All this is good to know for when I have my sweep after Xmas/new year, I'm hoping I go into labour more a less straight away that day/night xx
