I have the Nexplanon and I love it! I recommend it I know people though who hate it and wouldn’t dare tell their worst enemy to use it. It’s very convenient for me. Good for three years very painless process. They numb your arm and stick the little sucker right in. I haven’t had any negative side effects. I get my period every 3/4 months
my sis in law had it and she breastfed for 2.5 years in it and it. Never effected her. My Midwife said it’s one of the ones they recommended to breastfeeding moms
I hated my nexplanon. It made my chronic migraines so much worse and really fueled my depression and anger issues. I couldn’t lose weight no matter what I ate and working out e eryday. I also was diagnosed with thyroid disease not long after having it taken out after having it taken out. I can’t guarantee it was related, but I have a feeling it was. Or it at least fueled it. I never had thyroid issues before hand.

I hated my nexplanon. It made my depression worse and broke out sooooo bad and top of that. I gained 25 pounds ever year I was on it so In totally I gained 75 pounds. I never had weight issues. I was 115 before going on it and now I have thyroid issues. Never had thyroid issues in my life and no it wasn’t my body changing because even my doctor was like ummmmm you are gaining to much weight to quickly and had to get off and I can’t lose the weight.
I hated both , neither worked for me my periods lasted 2 weeks with both and were heavy heavy & my mood swings were off the chain lol I’m not really compatible with birth control though it’s more trying them to see if they work for you.
I currently have it and I don’t like it. In January I’m going to have it removed. Plus side periods don’t come often but I have acne and head ache and weird little rash on my arm on the site of the birth control and I feel like Iv gain a few pounds with a dieting so not happy and my moods change so fast l was never like that. But everyone is different.

@katieblakebyron, on top of that when it was time to get it out, it moved to my arm muscle and I almost had to get it surgically removed

mine moved into my elbow! It didn’t move until like over two years having it, but they had to cut so deep in my arm for it 🤦🏻♀️

I had the nexplanon and had to get it surgically removed because it broke and got stuck in my muscle I don’t recommend it to anyone anymore
