I am at my wits end, 5 hours sleep in the last 2 nights, Finley is literally my shadow he has to be cuddling me all night otherwise he lost doesn’t sleep and if he’s in my bed and he can’t feel me he stirs for the whole night, and there is absolutely no chance of keeping him in his cot cause he just screams and cries works himself up and makes himself sick (he was literally crying for a minute while I got out the shower and walked to his room) he’s always been a good sleeper but these past few months have been ridiculously bad 😩😴😴😴

A couple of things happen at around 8 months that make them like this. There is a sleep regression at some point between 8 and 10 months AND they become aware that you can leave them at around 6-7 months and go through a phase of separation anxiety at around 8-10 months. Also teething could be making him like this.
They do stop with the screaming eventually and it all gets easy again. Just remember it's a short period of time, all he needs is reassurance that you're there and aren't going anywhere and plenty of cuddles. They grow out of it and they aren't little like this for long, you'll be dealing with a stroppy teen who wants nothing to do with you soon 😣
Also just so you know it's completely normal for them to not sleep: my little boy is 14 months (almost 15 months) and doesn't sleep for more than a 2 hour stretch at night. You've got this! X

He’s just come out of a leap, and we’ve just moved into our own place plus he’s cutting his third tooth so I can understand why he’s not sleeping properly it’s just very tiring, I got more sleep when he was a newborn than I do now 😂 5 hours sleep in the past 2 days it’s a wonder I’m still standing tbf x
