My little one has a cold and he can’t barley breathe from all the mucus so my pedestrian told me he should sleep in the car seat that way he can sleep better and breath is that actually a good idea has any other moms have done this ?
I would get a different doctor. Saline and aspiration are the first steps in this case and there are warnings out NOT to let your baby sleep in the car seat due to the risks of positional asphyxiation. Children have died being left to sleep in their car seats.
Maybe sleeping in one of those swings things, very comfortable for babies and safe! The sit up kind tho 🤷🏼♀️. @bj1605,
And he didn’t suggest something as simple as saline drops and a suction bulb?? Or a humidifier?!? Fire him!
You can try elevating baby's crib with a board book or two to help with drainage also. Elevation only needs to be an inch or two to be effective and is very safe and easy to do. Good luck momma! Lots of snuggles for the poor kiddo!
When a car sear isnt in the car, the baby is not sitting right. And the straps can strangle them, even with them loose babys head can fall into a position that blocks air ways.. So many babies have dies because of being left in carseats to sleep. Warm baths help, with a generous amount of baby vicks on the bottom of their feet with socks on over night (but wash it off forst thing in the morning.) also, get fresh ginger, slice it into thin slices and put it on babes chest with a patch over it. Leave it on overnight, and take it off and give them a bath first thing in the morning.. The ginger will help breal up mucus in the chest and help clear things up faster.
I made ginger tea but I never herd about placing it in the chest I will try that ! Thank you for the advise and yes Vick are all set
Nope nope nope. That was BAD advice. Car seats are not for sleeping and put baby at risk for positional asphyxiation. Vicks is also a no as it contains eucalyptus which is a no for under 10- even baby Vicks. Saline spray, snot sucker and lots of cuddles.
: Thanks! I will take a look. My pediatrician has told me to put the Vicks on her clothing not directly on her skin. Or to use a small amount mixed with our oil of choice. I'll read the link. Thanks for responding.
: I don't see where the link speaks of Vicks. It's talking about essential oils which are concentrated oils. Am I missing something? I realize the ingredients used in essential oils may be the same but the compound is different. NO!!! I have a little chair thing that keeps his head elevated a bit and that helps . But get a humidifier and Vick’s as well . And the baby Frieda and saline work wonders
Yeah I didn’t put him in the car seat it just didn’t feel right ! Thank you yeah I got all of that but even from me cleaning his nose and putting baby Vick is hard to hear him it’s like my poor baby

Get one of the nose sucker things. Some Vick’s baby rub on the bottom of the feet, && lots of water.
No no NO there was a 15 month who suffocated from sleeping in her car seat about three months ago...do not do it. I can't even believe he would suggest that!! Baby Vicks on chest and feet. Lots of saline spray and suck those boogies out
Yeah I never did it and I figure it’s very uncomfortable for them and I did put baby Vick’s on chest and feet and some under his nose so he can try to breath and I do stuck them before he went to bed but oh boy he fight with me he hate anything in his nose

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

My husband is sleeping with his mouth WIDE OPEN and I'm over here about to die from holding my breath. 😂 He's only been asleep for 2 hours and already has morning breath. #SomebodyComeGetMe
Why does my child not sleep at night? He naps great during the day, but as soon as we get into bed he has his eyes wide open and has no interest in sleeping.. I'm so tired 😭
