My doctor recommended that my son switches to Enfamil spit up formula, I’m a bit sceptical about it because it’s not probiotic and it’s not non-GMO like the Nestlé good start is, what do you mamas think?

I started with good start when I started both my kids on formula. I ended up switching to emfamil and it sat way better with both of them. But it stains though! That’s the only thing I didn’t like about it.

Also too much probiotics too long can be bad for immunity depending on Type I’ve seen some people get sick bad so idk about probiotics but usually it was adults

Honestly you could always look for a secondary organic spit up formula replacement

I started out using enfamil but found it made my son more gassy, constipated and he always seemed unsatisfied. When I switched to good start it was a complete turnaround for him and a huge improvement.
Good start also makes probiotic drops that you could add to the enfamil formula as well, as a compromise

@laura.lorentsen33, my son has been on it for three months now but because he always spits up even when he’s on medication for it so my doctor recommended enfamil spit up formula but I’ve read that it causes constipation and I’m not sure that will happen to my little one..

@sms123 give the enfamil a try and you can always add a probiotic droplet to the formula is you are concerned about the constipation. Every child is different so even though the enfamil didnt work for us I know a ton of people who used it with plenty of success. Hope you find something that works for you!

Up to you to decide mama. All babies have a different preference for formula. You can add your own probiotics to any bottle though.

I know he’s been on this formula for 3 months he spits up quite a lot so I thought the change could help, but without probiotics I don’t know if it’s ok

@sms123 Im a big believer of probiotics but the probiotics also have to be good or its kinda pointless. It can be normal to spit up a good amount as well though. If youre following proper bottle feeding and keeping him upright, may just be spitty until around 4m. My son spit up a lot and was breastfed. Did it until 4ish months.

I swear y’all kill me when people ask questions about THEIR child. If my child is 4m or 5m & I put a little cereal in the bottle it’s nothing wrong with it at all. NOTHING , especially if his doctor already gave me the go ahead. My god, each one teach their own though. it’s 10 am where I am rn , do not come on my post with , articles about whatever. I’ll tell you kiss my ass today.
