How many ounces to give my 2.5 month old? He spits up a lot so I usually give 4 ounces stepping up to 5 oz but i don’t know if that’s ok

How many ounces of formula is it ok to give my 1 month old?
I feed Paola about 3 bottles of formula a day, a couple spoonfuls of Gerber for breakfast/dinner and every once in a while 2 ounces of apple juice. Every time I give her formula I burp her and it never fails she ALWAYS throws up. Every bottle of formula is 6 ounces and she's 6 months. Am I giving her too much?? And thats why he keeps throwing up??

Exactly! My 2 month old spits up a lot too unfortunately. I do the same as you. I start at 4 and go up to 6 if necessary.

@aengs2, he always had 4. But recently I noticed he could go for another ounce or two. And he’s sucks it quick lol, maybe that’s why he spits up but he is hungry

If he's spitting up and still wanting more it's because his stomach hurts so no don't give him more 4oz is plenty for a 2 month old also you could be giving him too much causing his stomach to stretch too fast making him spit up. Try burping between ounces feeding him upright and not reclined and also propping him up for 30 minutes after each feeding. But don't give him more. What kinda formula is he on.??

Well he’s on medication for the spit up!! Giving less isn’t the best option if he’s hungry .
