Anyone set up their FMLA through Aetna? Do I have to file for short term disability first or what? I have no clue what I’m doing and HR at my job isn’t any help 🙄🤦🏻♀️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Yes short term disability if they include pregnancy.

I didn’t do mine through Aetna, but I called both companies on the same day. Mine didn’t require anything from the other company.

@abhic0320, both of them are through Aetna with my job. But when I go to create an account it wants a work ID 🤦🏻♀️ They said nothing about a work ID when I asked about FMLA so I have no clue what to put. HR is really no help so I tried asking around but none of the ladies who have recently had babies were here long enough to take FMLA.

I had arena. Call them they are pretty helpful and should be able to walk you through it. It can all be done online. They may require a note from your doctor to stop and start disability.

@bigmama18, ok thanks. It says to call or do online but I guess I just have to call first because it won’t let me sign up online 🤷🏻♀️ weekdays are pretty busy and I hate talking on the phone in a rush but it says I can call Monday-Friday only. 😒

@pr1nc3sslauren, block out some time for it. Because it will take some time. From personal experience you’re looking at 30-45 mins on the phone with them.

@bigmama18, alright. Thank you for the heads up cause DD won’t stop talking for 3 mins, let alone 30..so definitely will have to have someone keep her distracted for the phone call 😂😂

I had to use my sick time up. Then I got short term. And it was like 60% of my pay or something like that.

@abhic0320, it’s ok! Just haven’t ever had to take FMLA before and don’t know the first thing about it and it’s been frustrating trying to find anyone who knows how to help at work. Lol it’s all a lot to deal with but thankful to have this app so I could at least find some help. 😂

@mtatlock02, yeah she said I wouldn’t get paid for the first week unless I have time saved. And then I think after that is 50-60% and that I would get up to 12 weeks off. But that’s literally all she told me. She sent me a flyer in my email that said I could call the number OR do it online, so I was trying to figure out how to do it online but I guess I can’t until I call.
She said the left side of the flyer was STD and the right side was FMLA but it’s literally all just FMLA 🙄🤦🏻♀️ the left side is the phone number and right side is online. So I was thinking the number was for STD and online was for FMLA
