I just wanted to share my story with everyone. So after getting a positive test I went for an ultrasound for dating. From there they sent me to the ER for ectopic pregnancy. I was devastated! The ER ran some blood test and told me they were giving me medication to terminate the pregnancy. While I was waiting for the prescription my OB called them and told them to stop. She wanted to wait a few days and see if my HCG went up. I was in no pain so she said it would be fine. Turns out I was just very early and I went for an ultrasound today and the baby has a heart beat!!!! I am so happy but it’s terrifying that the ER almost killed my baby!!! I just wanted to share in case someone else has to go thru this. Ectopic pregnancy is dangerous but make sure the doctors run the proper tests!!! I am so grateful for my doctor!

Oh wow that’s crazy!! I’m so happy your ob stepped in when she did. So happy u didn’t take the meds to terminate. Scary because I’m sure this has happened to many women before u. Congrats on the pregnancy!!

I don’t think you should have even been sent to the ER. I remember going to the ER for pain and I was pregnant like five weeks and there was nothing there yet to see. They told me to just return in two days to see if my levels rose which they did. They didn’t try to terminate anything they were unsure of. Glad the outcome was well.
