At what stage is it NOT normal to feel your baby move? I’m 17 going on 18weeks and I sometimes think I feel a flutter but it’s not at all on a continuous / often basis. Is this cause for concern???

Thank you ladies for calming me down. You’d think this was my first pregnancy seeing my daughter is 8 years old but with her I just remember Feeling her/ connecting with her sooner or around this time. It’s killing me! I want to feel my baby 🍼

Doctors always tell me to start kick counts at 28 weeks.

They don't have you do kick counts until the third trimester (28 weeks) because it can be spotty up to that point. There's so much room for the baby to hide that they are probably moving, but you can't feel it consistently. It's also more difficult to feel the baby depending on how your placenta is positioned.

The baby is also starting to regulate their sleep, so you may notice long lulls where the baby is just asleep.

I was never given a stage, but at like 22 weeks I could feel him, but I wouldn’t have been able to kick count. It wasn’t until like 28 weeks could I really feel him all the time.
