Just doing some research, if you got the epidural how many centimeters were you and how long did it take to dialate to…

I’m praying for the same thing this time around I don’t wanna be sitting in the hospital either, pain or not.

@skyandangelsmom I plan on waiting at home for a little while the hospital is only 10 minutes away but I am terrified of waiting too long

@kendrab, it was a really smooth and fast process altogether honestly! Me and my daughter talked a lot lmao! Also, I labored at home for ATLEAST two hours waiting for Everton to get dressed up for her arrival 😑 plus the 30 min drive there ! Hopefully by the time you get there you will dilated quite a ways..

I went at 6 by the time I got my epidural I was 8, about 10, 20 mins after or sooner she was coming lol

I got it at 6 cm, and 2 hrs later i gave birth

I got mine when I was a 3 with my first. It did slow me down a bit and they had to up the pitocin but my labor was 9 hours. With my second I got it at a 6 and my whole labor was 6 hours. I feel like it relaxed me enough to help me dilate more.

I got the epidural at 8 cm and progressed to 10 cm in 2 hours. Time in labor before epidural - 7 hours. 9 hours of contractions in total.

I think i was like 4 or 5cm dilated when i got mine and it seemed like i dilated wicked fast after i got it

I progressed from 4cm to 7.5cm pretty quickly.. got the epidural and my labor stalled for a few hours. I ended up getting pitocin to get things started again.

I was in labor for 12 hours and barely at 5 cm. After I got it, it took five hours and delivery was a breeze.

I got my epidural when I was 3cm at 11pm at night, and didn’t have my baby till 2:46 pm the next day. I was in labor for 21 hours. It was a lifesaver though!

With my last two I got induced when I was barely 1cm and they wouldn’t give you an epidural until you reach at least 3cm. For me I take longer to dilate without it because of the pain. With the epidural I dilate every hour or two until I reach 7cm and then in .3 seconds I’m fully dilated and ready to push lol.

@brittney.arp11 honestly the main reason I dont want an epirdural..if I had to have a c section then okay that really sucks but if the epidural made me stop dialating I would be so so so upset 😭

@kjcross that's my plan is to wait as long as I possibly can.. but jeez that's a sad epidural story. Strong girl going so long without it though!

At 7 I got an epidural and immediately stopped dialating and now I am stuck having C-section only🤗🤗🤗

I was 10cm and labouring down (waiting to push bc the baby should've been lower). The contractions were too much for me after 40+ hours of my induction ordeal so I gave in and got it. It wore off while I pushed though. Honestly the contractions were far worse than the feeling of her head crowning and all that. I'd wait as long as you can

I don't remember specific times but I got the epidural at 6 cm. Things progressed just fine after that. I took a two hour nap and then it was time to push. Total time in active labor was 15 hours.
