@mommyofavaka In the state of Ohio you can receive food stamps- if your income falls within the guidelines. Child support has no effect on food stamp assistance and vise versa... Therefore, you can receive both! As for the child support back pay, as long as you never signed a paper in the past - saying "In the future if you were to go forth for child support, the father will not be held accountable to owe back child support" then you should receive back pay as well...

@mommyofavaka more than likely he will have to pay back child support because your on food stamps which is public assistance which means he will have to pay back everything back that the government is and will be paying for until he actually starts paying child support, sometimes it takes the parent a while to start paying it but the $$ just keeps going up the more they don't pay

Do u know sincemy daughter is almost 2 if he has to also pay back child support coz somebody ask me that too (im about to talk to my caseworker friday)
