There is no such thing as too many books, just too small of a bookshelf. 😉. When your baby turns into a toddler you will start seeing them appreciate them that much more. My little girl sits on the floor and surrounds herself with books open to different pages and just talks to herself. She has something going on, just not sure what.

I’ll keep whatever has writing from family members and then donate what’s in good condition

I kept almost all of mine. I gave some to my sister when she had a baby. Once this one gets old enough I'll donate the ones that are still in good shape and toss some out. The ones that have a message I'll keep just so I can remember that time.

I did this and it really started our little library. My son loves to read so it was awesome for us. Cards are kind of use less especially for a baby so I think books are a way better idea anyway

We did it and we really do have too many books. But it's easy to donate books so it's okay.

I did this and I love it. What will you reallllly do with the cards anywho?? At least you might get some use from the books. I did get a couple duplicates and returned what I could, and gave away others. And even if you don't get many, three books is better than all cards with no real use

I did it at my 1st shower. Most people just bought small board books. It worked out perfectly cus it filled up my 2 little shelves with books.

I agree no such thing as too many books. My kid is seated on my lap making me read him a trains/trucks book for the 5x 😭 wish he'd pick another 1. We have tons to pick from📚

I don't think there is a thing as "too many books." They're easy to sort through when you need to though.
