@khawkins, it also doesn’t become dangerous dangerous until they are under the 15%-10% they wouldn’t deliver me until she hit zero.

@alyboo102293, oh gosh. I’m glad your daughter came out healthy! I always try to remain as calm as possible until I’m given a reason to worry. I tend to go into survival mode

@khawkins, Intrauterine growth restriction , basically my placenta had bad placement which wasn’t feeding baby at the rate it needed to grow at the correct speed eventually not being beneficial at all to her and started to calcify so the expected her to thrive better off outside of me then in. Some babies do go full term with IUGR because it goes unnoticed or doesn’t effect them until later on in the 3rd trimester.

@mswedes, thanks and yeah my middle daughter had IUGR she stopped growing by week 34 and was in the 0 so they took her she was super healthy needed no assistance eating or breathing just needed to gain weight 💜🤰🏼 gotta remember to stay positive.

@alyboo102293, @khawkins, I want you both to know that my son was born in the 3rd percentile. I was worried sick but other than being small, he was very healthy. He’s just small. My husband and I are not big people so it was expected on our part. Stress will only make it worse. Just stay positive. I had growth scans every two weeks for the last month and they even told me they might take my son early if he didn’t grow. He ended up coming on his own. Things will happen however they are meant to.

@khawkins, oh goodness I wouldn’t stress too much, if baby was too small they would do weekly growth scans too keep a eye out my boy is about 3 weeks behind and just hit somewhere in the 30th percentile and I’m a nervous wreck but I’ll know more next week hopefully your LO is alright & they’re just wrong .

@alyboo102293, no, unfortunately. She just told me she will check my measurements at my next appointment which is 2 weeks from now and if there is any concern they will order me an ultrasound so I really didn’t get much from her, basically I’m left with no answers that’s why I’m a bit worried

I measured “small”at the end. My son was 5 lbs and was born at 37+5. He was perfect in every other way. I lost 10 lbs early and subsequently gained 40. I found out when he was a year old that I have an unusually small uterus so there really wasn’t anything more I could do to make him bigger. I’m sure you’re doing a great job. Babies aren’t all meant to be the same. Those sizes are based on averages.
