I'm having 5 extra scans so 4 weekly scans from 26 weeks and two weekly from 36 weeks but Im very high risk due to having hellp syndrome and preeclampsia and a premature baby healthy pregnancies only get two scans x

I'm the same @staceyg2404 my hospital is Oxfordshire!! We are offered 3 scans 12, 20 and I'll have a growth scan at 36 weeks. X

I had scans at 12 weeks, 20 weeks and 28 weeks and I've got another scan at 34 weeks , I've been given so many scans because his showing up big so if his still big ill have another scan at 37 weeks xx

Most hospitals are 2 scans but I depends on mum's history Etc. I've had 1 pre term. 2 mc and 1 mmc. Also a blood clotting disorder. So I had scans at 4wk and 6wk to check location of baby before blood thinning injections. Then had 12wk. Have my 20wk scan Thursday. Then regular growth scans from 24wks

Yeah that’s why I booked a 4d scan getting inpatient lol 🙈 yeah some hospitals near me are offering a 35week growth scan but my hospital don’t do it x

So far I’ve had my 12 and 20 week but had to go in at 22 and will have another at 28 but that’s to check his heart as I had heart problems as a child. They also mentioned a 36 week growth scan too. We’ve had quite a few private ones in between just because were impatient lol x

Ah maybe that’s the case then, not used to it, my first pregnancy was twins so I had scans every 2weeks lol x

My hospital (in Oxfordshire) offers a 12 week dating Scan, 20 Week Scan & 36 week Growth Scan x

I am diabetic type 1 so we get more scan due to baby can grow bigger early on in pregnancy

My extra scans have been to check health of baby due to abnormalities found at dating scan, think everyone gets 2 only unless there is a concern xx

It’s not different anywhere else hun scans after 20 weeks are to check growth, fluid and any other problems that have arose or were picked up at the 20 week scan. If your pregnancy is healthy you’ll only ever get 2 scans 😊x

It's the same where I'm from, a scan at 12 weeks and a scan at 20 weeks. I think the women having more scans maybe have complications? X
