Can someone explain the trimesters to me? Because both apps say I am 27 weeks today and have started the third trimester. That makes sense to me; that would mean 13 weeks for the first trimester and then 14 and 13 for the last. But if it doesn't start til 28 why is everything telling me 27 and why would they measure trimesters so unevenly with 14, 14 and 12?!
Does the second trimester start at 13 weeks??
So my OB. Considers week 13-26 the 2nd trimester. But I keep reading all this crap online about week 14 starting the 2nd trimester. What does everyone else's doctors say!?! Also. Half of my apps say I'm in the 2nd trimester. The other still say first trimester!

Wait did l miss something??? Why are people trying to get labor started at 34 and 35 weeks?

Its actually 14, 14, and 14 because some obgyn count to week 42 not week 40. As far as I know, there's some doctors that refuse to induce until the end of week 41 because baby can safely stay until 42 weeks.

I use this 🤷♀️🤰🏼 but yes a lot of apps are different. And I have to agree with the above comment about going to 42 cause that’s what I was told with my son, since he was almost that late
