The picture looks like it doesn't need a box spring. A lot of these beds have wood slats going across where you do not need them. Both of my kids have beds like this. I however just have a frame so I need one.

My bed is kinda similar to that but mine is a king. Mine had to have boxsprings cause it came with slates to hold the frame together and if I only had my mattress across it I would feel the slates in my back lol

@liz41395, you can usually get box springs for pretty cheap if you need one find out how much they charge then shop around! You could even go second hand for something like that. The bedroom set is an awesome deal tho!

You can buy just a box spring! That's pretty by the way.

For that price I would think it's just the head/footborad as "queen bed"

No it does not include. You would most likely need a box spring but you could call and ask.
