I got diagnosed with mild colitis and I bleed and had brown discharge .

When my iud implanted, I had bleeding, cramps and painful sex. Had to have it surgically removed

How long have you had it in for? I believe spotting and discharge is considered normal for the first few months as your body adjusts to having it in.

When I had mine, I would begin spotting or have brown discharge pretty regularly for the 2 years I had it. Nothing was wrong, no infections or pregnancies. I had the mirena, which has a low amount of progesterone. Years previously, I’d tried a progesterone-based pill as well and had the same thing happen. Apparently my body doesn’t like progesterone BC.
