Ugh made a whole thing of pasta salad for my S/Os family cookout. Hoping to impress bc there was people I haven't met yet. we always bring crap like chips or plates and this is what my mom always makes for our family cookout and everyone Loves it.
Well I brought it and there was no plates or plasticware ..... I don't drive so I offered to buy some if someone would take me to the store but they didn't want to.(his parents were working or I know this momma would've took me) So they had hot dogs and burgers and chips with no plates.
And I got sent home with a full tub of pasta for me and my S/O our 2yo doesn't eat this. So ig I'll be sending it to my mommas house.
Really disappointed, time and money wasted

Seriously who does that? They couldn't leave for 5 mins to get plates. And who has a cookout without plates at the very least.

I know I was over it very quick :\
I would've brought some if I knew no one else was gonna. And I even offered to get some once we got there.
We got invited last week and I was like oh I'm gonna learn how to make my mom's kind of pasta salad just for this occasion. Was excited and planning for a great cookout all week, hoping I'd make a good impression . Never did I think they wouldn't have plates or plasticware.
Ended up having a crappy time

@mrose2508 idk we just call it pasta salad.
It has rotini noodles, chopped up tomato's, green olives, Colby jack cheese cut Into cubes, and zesty italian dressing. My mom also puts cucumbers in it but I don't like cucumbers.
I always just call it Momma's pasta lol because everyone seems to do it differently.

I’m hosting a cookout on Wed and I bought plates, silverware, and cups. If I’m the one hosting, I always provide all the things needed for eating. This just doesn’t make sense to me. The host should have had some and if not, then left to get some. It’s part of being a good host!
