They can sweep your membranes now. I had mine done starting at 36 weeks.

I was also induced ( personal preference and schedule conflicts) and I had wonderful experience.

PM me if you want more info. I’m Medical Student and I made choices as to what should and shouldn’t be done. Even when getting induced hold off on epidural as long as you can. Epidural and pitocin work against each other. But once you are 4-5cm it won’t matter as much.

Also stimulating your breast will help. You gotta do like 20 minutes on and then 20 minutes off and keep going.

@selandriac it's safest to get as close to 40 as possible. If you're 38 soon then you can get one at the 38w appointment

@selandriac they changed it. 39 weeks is considered full term 37&38 weeks is early term.

@selandriac oh man. Still advocate for youself. You can have them sweep your membranes, then do natural home things but its not recommended until full term.
