I’ve only had 2 ultrasounds one at 12w and anatomy at 20w my Ob said I won’t get anymore now ... 🤔🤔 ? Sooo I won’t know position or weight or anything until he’s here ? I feel like I had at least one more with my daughter around 35 weeks . 😕😕
That's crazy, I live in CT and on July 16th will be my 3rd ultrasound. I also get another one at 34 weeks
I’ve had tons but not for a good reason...every time I go I get scared to death there will be bad news. I love getting to see the babies once I know everything is ok but up till then is so nerve racking it’s nowhere near enjoyable.
But if I’m being honest the last one we had done in May was frightening because my little one had the umbilical cord around his neck playing with it. It freaked me out for weeks but it’s not around him anymore.. but for the time being it was a nightmare.
I live in Columbus and there’s a few around town that do just ultrasounds. You can get a 3/D - 4D session for $60. They gave us at least 30 photos from the session too plus they take measurements and fetal heart rate
Yeah theres one in Ashland Elyria and Akron that I know of. They cost money but it's worth it 😀
I'm also in Ohio and that's how my ob is now too. You can go to an outside company that does the 3d/4d ultrasounds!
with my first i only had 2 one at 20 weeks and then another at 35 weeks i wanna say and this pregnancy i had one at 12/13 weeks, 20 weeks, and another at 27 weeks and i got one in the ER due to a stubborn non moving baby🙄😂
Ok well looks like If I want to see him again I need to go to a sneak peek place ! Lol but I think I can maybe wait 10 more weeks when he is nice and plump and decides to come and meet me .
My OB does one at the first appointment, then at 18-20 weeks for the anatomy scan. He starts cervix checks at 30 weeks. No more ultrasounds for me either!
I had my last one at 20 wks. They did do a quick one in the delivery room you confirm she was head down
@kig7717 thats true. Babies turn during contractions even sometimes. But I just want to get one last ultrasound peek before I am holding him...so I am hopeful I will be able to. My next appointment is on the 9th and I will ask about scheduling my 36 week ultrasound and see what she says. 🤞🤞

See I never made it to cervix checks with my daughter she came on her own at 36ish weeks (the doc at the time didn’t start them until 38 weeks) spontaneous labor my water just broke . So we will see how this one goes she said “we won’t know position bc baby can move and change positions even right before birth” 🤔 I’m not the doc so I just said ok 🤷🏽♀️
Wow, I'm high risk so I had one at 7 weeks, 12 weeks, 19 weeks, 21 weeks, 28 weeks, and I have another at 36 weeks, but if I remember correct in previous pregnancies I didn't have many.
Some get so many like 10 by the time baby comes. I was a little jealous of that at first honestly, I wanted to see my little guy more too. But I saw him at 8 weeks, 20 weeks, and then I see him again hopefully at 36 weeks. Though it isn't scheduled or anything.
It all depends on the doctor. Some do two while others do three. There's actually some people who only get one! They will be able to tell you position once your further along(usually around your last month.) And even some doctors are able to tell weight by just feeling your belly around 39-40 weeks right before or by the time you deliver.
Awww I wanted to see him once more !😩😩😩 but I guess everything is going good then if they don’t want to do another .
It all depends on the doctor.
I had 1 at 6w because of an ER trip. Another around 11w. Another at 23 w and will be again at 34w
I didn’t get one after my 20 week appointment baby was growing perfect and we were both healthy
When you get your cervix checked usually after 37-38 weeks, your doctor will be able to tell if baby is head down and in position.
After my 40th week we did a stress test and check on baby. But usually if they don’t need to they won’t. Weights and measurements can’t be taken accurately as they get bigger.
Looks like it varies from state to state too 😩😩
