won't sleep unless being held
Ladies, I'm going crazy from not being able to sleep. McKenna won't sleep unless she's being held. Not sure if it's my smell, the warmth, or what but I need sleep! Every night I end up just falling asleep with her but I don't like that at all. It worries me. What do I do?! If I don't get some sleep soon, I'm gonna lose my mind.
Our baby sleeps very well in her bassinet on the pack and play. It surrounds her, giving comfort. For the bassinet in our room, we started using a heating pad for a few minutes to warm the bed before putting her down and that helped her to sleep comfortably there. Otherwise, she was waking after 5-10 minutes.
Yes, even swaddling her, she's awake in 5 minutes or less after putting her down ? I'm going to probably get A cosleeper.
With daughter, we just followed safe cosleeping recommendations. Figured it was better to accept that I’d fall asleep with her and have safety measures in place than accidentally fall asleep in unsafe conditions or be so sleep deprived I couldn’t function. I think for the first six weeks or so we mostly coslept and then got her in her crib with a swaddle. At some point she ended back in the bed and was there until about 1.
Okay so i tried without the bassinet, she still wasn't happy. I cant put a towel or blanket under the pack n play mattress because it's one that can raise up and the material under the mattress won't allow it to make any difference with a blanket or towel rolled up... tomorrow I might just get a cosleeper. I'm just at lost at what to do. I'll continue trying tonight in the pack n play but man this really sucks. I love cuddling her but would like to actually be able to lay comfortable and not have to worry about anything happening.
@artteach right there with ya!! In the mornings I just about go crazy between a hungry baby, and a toddler begging to eat. I miss my fiance like crazy and would love to just cuddle with him as well. Trying to find a new "normal" is exhausting. I have laundry that needs to be done, garbage that needs to be taken out, cleaning that needs to be done, I just can't find myself to do it because I'm exhausted. I've broken down a few times too.
Same here. I think they are also adjusting to life outside the womb and just want that physical contact. I had a hormonal meltdown yesterday - between my engorged nursing boobs, crying baby and needy toddler, I’m a mess. All I want to do is snuggle with my husband, not be in discomfort and sleep. Why is that so much to ask??? But this too shall pass. I’m so grateful for my babies. I wouldn’t trade them
I never had this problem with my son so I didn't think about her not liking it. I'll have to take it out today and see how she is without it.
I could try that if I take away the bassinet and she just lays straight on the pack n play part
I was thinking the same thing... she's in a bassinet in a pack n play. During the day, I put her in her swing and she's fine in there but never happy with the bassinet.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Ok I'm 15 And Pregnant And I Don't Know What To Do. I'm Just A Freshman In High School.
Please help!
My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I know they say back is best, but my LO turns herself to her side and sometimes her tummy by herself. She's only 10 days old. She does not like laying on her back. She will squirm and wiggle until she is on her side or she starts crying. It doesn't matter if it's her bassinet or crib.
