Ladies...have you ever been friends with someone for a long time? I’m talking about years! But as you got older and both of y’all lives changed y’all kinda drifted apart? Less phone calls? Less texts? There is no hard feelings we just don’t talk like we used to. I guess it’s to be expected! Maybe we are not meant to be in each others lives as the new phases begin! Let me know if you have been through it! How did you feel about it? I’m ok I’m not much of a person that likes to always be the first to call or text the older I get I just sort of do my own thing 🤷🏽♀️

I don’t rely very heavily on my friends honestly bc everyone has their own life. Especially once you have kids. I adore my friends and would be there for them in a heartbeat.. but my family is my world now.

It happens.. if both ppl aren’t trying hard to stay In touch and if there’s a distance factor, life moves along.. I feel like real solid friends can just pick up where they left off if they have a strong bond bc they aren’t intimidated by the other person’s life changing.

Yes, currently going through that with one of my almost 10 year friendship. Last year when she got pregnant and moved out of her dads house she started acting better than me and her boyfriends bad habits were rubbing off on her, she didn't want to hear what I thought or opinions even though she'd ask me for them, we barely talk anymore. I don't like to text or call first either so her and I went about six months without talking until I got a birthday party invite for her son, and then we went another few months without talking. We "hung out" at the beginning of May and she spent most the time on Facebook or watching tv. She didn't come to my son's birthday party, no text or call that they couldn't come just didn't show up and I then learned that she was bad mouthing myself and my son behind my back so it's a whatever friendship now but in still good enough for her to use as a reference for a job at the same company I work for.

Yup. Grew up together since about 13 or 14. Drifted apart like 3 years ago but she's with my mom almost on a daily🤔😒

That is so me...i don't mean to not all or text but I'm just so busy with work and home life.

There's a girl I've been friends with since 5th grade, well over 10 years and we used to be super close and hung out a lot. Now we barely talk and our lives are completely different. I miss the way things used to be between us, she was the bestest friend I could ask for but now it feels like we are just acquaintances

Yup. 15 years of friendship, made her the godmother of my daughter and she BARELY checked on her. I got tired always reaching out so said f that. My kid can’t miss what she don’t know. I don’t got time to chase no one, that grandparents aunts uncles cousins and friends
Yes. My best friend and I have been friends since we were 13 (12 years) and she's the Godmother of my oldest child. We use to talk and text every single day .. I can't remember the last time we had a conversation on the phone and we probably only text each other once or twice a week. It use to really upset me but I have a family now and she's really focused on her career so I have accepted it for what it is 🤷 I'll always love her tho. That's my girl for life lol.
I've lost 2 good friends over the years. We were close. We watched each other's kids. Met family members on both sides. Spent holidays together, etc. My feelings are hurt when the friendship ends because I think "friends forever".

I have a handful of friends from elementary &’ middle school who i was very close to kind of like my sisters growing up but due to distance and following our own path in life we are not as close as we used to be. I am now in my late 20s so we have been friends for a long time. I get together with whoever is in town, and conversations flow nicely and we talk for hours on out then, after we dont speak for awhile again 😅 It’s nice because theres no pressure on the friendship. We respect each others space. &’ We basically just pick up right where we left off the last time we met and update each other on our lives.
Yeah ... it was a good 10+ years and we just grew apart I mean we speak here and there and we will always have love for each other but we are no where near what we used to be we picked up on our friendship about 2 almost 3 yrs ago but drifted back apart
