Ladies.. I just messaged my breastfeeding consultant asking her, but haven’t gotten a response yet.. my LO has had ONE…

When I was breastfeeding my daughter my consultant told me breast fed babies can go 14 days without pooping and it's okay. As long as they have plenty of wet diapers and aren't in pain. The bicycle trick definitely helps though.

Yeah my son started pooping only once a week when he was about a month old. He went 11 days once without pooping while exclusively breastfed. I remember freaking out and his doctor told me that his body is just absorbing everything and as long as he has wet diapers, he’s good. I also used gripe water and the bicycle trick to help with gas. 😁

@kndosda95 she can have a little bit of gripe if she needs it. It helped my daughter

Haha !! My baby is about to be 3 months.. and I’ll try the bicycle trick.. but she is gassy !!! Some grown man farts lol

Mine went 5 days without. And when she let go, she realllllly let go. Lol

As long as your LO is having plenty of wet diapers, this is pretty normal. Breastfed babies can go after every feeding or once a week. She isn’t constipated unless her stools are hard and dry when she does have them. If you’re still concerned though definitely don’t hesitate to contact your pediatrician.

My son is on the same boat and I talked to his doctor last week about it says it’s okay just bicycle his legs to release some gas but since they’re getting older they can go 2 days without pooping 🤷🏻‍♀️ idk I was concerned but he seems happy lol just a gassy boy

How old? It's not uncommon for a breast fed baby to go days without pooping. When mine was younger I couldn't eat cheese or he'd be so gassy but not poop.

I'm pretty sure it's normal. They absorb most of the breastmilk in their intestines. Lynnie went through a stage where she only pooped once every 3-4 days.
