My daughter is 3.5 months old and is 21 pounds. She wears 6-9 month clothes and size 4 diapers. Is she too big? I'm so nervous that she's growing too fast. She doesn't go to the doctor until the end of April.

My son at that age was around 18lbs ebf and in 6-9 clothing.

Now he's 18months and doesn't stop all his rolls have gone and I miss them ?

She is absolutely beautiful and I bet cuddles with her are the best ?

Thanks everyone. I'm not sure how long she is. I'll find out everything tomorrow. She looks big, but she's proportioned. I wasn't concerned until others started saying she's too big.

There's nothing wrong with her my son was in size 2 at seven weeks lol. It's the power off breast milk. He gained a pound a week for a while. Don't worry mama you are doing great.

I probably wouldn't worry if you're nursing and not using bottles.

Breastfed babies gain fast in the first 6 months and slow down after that. If she's following her growth curve I wouldn't be concerned. She could just be a chunkier baby.

How long is she?

She's chunkier than my son was (I think?), but honestly, I wouldn't be worried about it. He was at least 19 lbs at 4 months, so I wouldn't think a couple pounds more than that should be concerning.

Some babies grow fast and others grow slow. My dad was a 6 pound baby and by the time he was a year old he was 35 pounds. He also grew to be a very large man. Not fat but tall and muscular. My daughter was 5 pounds 10 1/2 oz at birth and by a year old was only about 17 pounds. It wouldn't hurt to bring your concerns up to your doctor but if they don't think it's an issue, then she's probably fine. Once she becomes more mobile she will slim down some too.

She's only ever had two bottles. She drinks straight from the tap. I just saw something about weight gain and forceful letdown, so that might be what's going on.

I called and made her an appt for tomorrow for them to check her over. We were chunky babies, but not chunky as she is. We weren't breastfed, and I know that could be a factor. Are there any specific questions I should ask? I told them I think she's gaining weight too fast and I feel like they'll shrug it off when we go.

She did gain a lot in a short amount of time. With my pedi I can call and leave a message for a nurse and ask them any questions I have. Sometimes they answer it and sometimes they say to bring in lo. I would give your dr a call and let them know and see what they think.

If she gained that much in that little of time I would be concerned

Her last appointment was in February and she was 13 pounds. The doctor was happy with her weight gain. She breast feeds on demand. I've heard that you can't overfeed a breastfed baby, but she always wants milk. Should I take her in to the ped early?

Has your doctor mentioned being concerned? It does seem like a lot of weight gain especially being born at 6 pounds!

My understanding is if your lo is >100% and growing faster than "normal", that they may be considered about possible thyroid issues. Good luck, hopefully your lo is just big.

My lo is small. He is 15 months and about 22 lbs.

That's completely off the charts for her age so yes it's big but there are many determining factors that could play in. These ladies asked all the right questions.

All babies are different. She is way bigger than my dd was, but that doesn't mean something is "wrong". Like someone said, she ill slim down once she starts moving.

The big determination would be, what does she eat?

Idk if she's to big. I'm just here to say she is so cute.

Is she breastfed or formula fed?

Also how big was she when she was born, size isn't concerning if it follows her own personal growth curve. She's adorable though.

She is too cute! She is a little chunky but Im sure once she gets more active crawling things like that she will slim down. My son is 20lbs now but hes about to be 2 hes considered small for his age. Every Child is diffrent hun so don't really worry to much about it. She will work it out soon enough.

How big was she when she was born? Size doesn't necessarily mean it's a good or bad thing, as long as she's staying in the same curve on the growth chart.

3 month old bleeding monthly

3 month old bleeding monthly So I have no clue if this is normal or if I should be worried. Of course I am a little worried anyways but my 3 month old baby girl has had pink blood in her diaper atleast one day each month. It's like a little pink streak. I know her bleeding that first month is normal but every month? It's like she has a mini period/spotting. I would call her doctor but the only working phone we own is my husbands and he's at work. This is the 3rd month it's happened and I'm a little worried. Any advice or information would be appreciated. She doesn't seem fussy or like she's hurting. Her little breasts have are swollen again too (they feel like a little hard lump)
