The nurse told me that if I drink a lot of water throughout my pregnancy I am not prone to have stretch marks. How true is this ?
Staying hydrated actually helps your skin's elasticity. Don't know where she got that from. But, with the way your body will be changing, it's hard to prevent stretch marks.
Staying hydrated can help but there is nothing that will fully prevent them. It also depends on your genes if you will get them or not.
Staying hydrated will reduce the risk of stretch marks by improving skin elasticity but it does not mean that you won’t get them. What I’ve done with both pregnancies is drink water all day everyday besides one other drink I allow myself, and I use bio oil every day twice a day especially after shower/ bath. So far I have about 3 very tiny ones between both pregnancies and I’ve got them on my boobs. So I’m sure it helped to prevent more from occurring but it didn’t prevent them altogether.
