8 healthy crock pot meals (7 to freeze and one for dinner tonight) prepared and cleaned up in less than two hours (would have taken less but I have a newborn so I was limited to one hand at times). I feel accomplished and am soooo looking forward to not cooking every night!
@rycole - I'd have to add it up because I bought a bunch of other stuff at the same time. I can let you know tomorrow.
Take the bag out of the freezer and put in the fridge the night before. It won't be completely thawed but enough to come out of the bag in the morning. Then just put it in the crock pot in the morning! The house will smell great!
UPDATE!! We just ate the veggie soup for dinner. It was SOOO good AND we easily have enough for dinner tomorrow! I don't think each bag will double but if they did, that would be nearly 16 meals for my family! Holy cow!
It's my husband and I, our 8 year old son, and 3 year old daughter. If your family is larger or you have older kids, it might not double.
Yes, I put the meat in with with veggies but if you want want to you can put the meat and veggies in smaller bags and put them in the larger freezer bag that way.
Yes, you can cut up anything and freeze it, it will be fine and won't turn.
You put the raw meat in one bag and veggies into the other? I assume yes, just making sure.
Yes, I'm a tad OCD and maybe over board with raw meat and so cautious lol.
Also, things like potatoes, I can cut up and it stays good? Like it won't get brown? Yes simple dumb question, but I've never done the freezer meals.
Anytime! I love to cook and bake and am always up for trying new things. I hate eating the same things over and over. :-)
Prepare yourselves, it's a lot of produce prep, but so worth it for a healthy meal for the family. Also, you're able to buy in "bulk" or larger quantities so you save money! Win win!
My favorite thing about it is the small amount of processed food! The only processed items are chicken broth (I used fat free, low sodium), pasta sauce, and cannellini beans. You could substitute homemade sauce and broth/stock if you want to make it yourself.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
@Asher - yes, it's SOO easy! Like the pp said, you just throw everything in and it's done at the end of the day!
There are tons of things you can make in the crock pot, other than stews and soups. I make meat, casseroles, chili, side dishes, desserts, breakfast, dips, etc. You can also make certain portions of the dinner in here, example pulled pork or chicken and then add to the bun at dinnertime.
