Mallory, FYI, as soon as I pulled my daughter out of that daycare where she was getting sick WEEKLY, she hasnt been sick ONCE. I have been running my daycare since June 2011... The other place accepted sick kids and it was always the same kid bringing in sickness infecting the other children, my daughter always got it worse. I enforce hand washing and I do not accept sick children. So thanks for trying to sound smart and failing...
I live in Ma and its 150 a week for three days. so 50 a day. when the new one comes it will go from 600 a month to 1200. oofff. but I love her daycare. its more of a school and I wouldn't put a price on my dd's education and safety. its so scary with all the crap stuff that can happen at a day care. finding one that you feel safe bringing your kids to is worth a lot.
That doesn't make sense if your daughter was getting sick from the kids at daycare and your solution was to quit sending her and start ur own aren't you just switching the place the germs are? Bc you're still having her around kids and a group of kids will exchange germs no matter where they are.
Dang! This is nuts!!! I knew my area was high, but I didn't think it was like that everywhere!
I work FT from home but hubby switched his hours and works in the evening 3 days per week and then my mom comes over 2 days a week! I pay her $25 per day so that comes out to $200 per month... We couldn't survive without the flexibility of hubby's work and the generosity of my mom!
I've yet to see it cheaper than 1500 a month where I live and have seen places up to almost 3000 a month. While clearly there are some wealthy people in the area, I don't know any person personally who takes home monthly pay at the higher rates. And just barely taking home the lower rates. It's crazy.
daycare costs
Me thinking ahead to daycare costs, how much are you guys paying for daycare for your little ones? Just saw a rate for $175 a week or $700 a month....and I'm freaking out bc it'll just be me paying that!!!
Ok I have a question
If your child is doing 100% remote learning are you the parent staying home or are you sending them to daycare to do remote learning ??
Questions for parents with kids IN daycare ,
When you take your kids to daycare would you rather see the teachers in scrubs or like a plain scoop next shirt with pants (sweats leggings etc)

RIP to that little baby. At 1035 in the morning at that. The daycare lost their license indefinitely. There was only 4 infant slots at the daycare... if you cant handle the job then LEAVEEEE
In home daycare prices
Hey Ladies! I'm starting my own in home daycare within the next few months. I will be licensed and have all the required certifications as well as a bachelors degree in physical education for k-12grades. I'm trying to figure out how much to charge per hour. What do you pay for in home daycare? Do you pay per hour or per week? I'm located in the Chicago suburbs. Any suggestions or advice would also be greatly appreciated!!
I was a daycare diector in wa state
$35/day for infants
$33/day for prek
$15/day for schoolage for before OR after school care. both was $33
and we were the cheapest in the area. :/
