Mallory, FYI, as soon as I pulled my daughter out of that daycare where she was getting sick WEEKLY, she hasnt been sick ONCE. I have been running my daycare since June 2011... The other place accepted sick kids and it was always the same kid bringing in sickness infecting the other children, my daughter always got it worse. I enforce hand washing and I do not accept sick children. So thanks for trying to sound smart and failing...
I live in Ma and its 150 a week for three days. so 50 a day. when the new one comes it will go from 600 a month to 1200. oofff. but I love her daycare. its more of a school and I wouldn't put a price on my dd's education and safety. its so scary with all the crap stuff that can happen at a day care. finding one that you feel safe bringing your kids to is worth a lot.
I'm in Houston and its about $190 a week, thank God for my mom!!
$200 a week in average for infant and toddlers... Bay area, California
It's $586 a month for a full time infant at my center. Meaning anytime between 6:45am-6 pm monday through friday
I live in Iowa and its 1.75/ hr for children out of diapers and $2/ hr if they are still in diapers. This includes, snacks, lunch, and crafts. I pay about $25 a week for my 4yo at about 18 hours a week. When I was working full time it was 48 a week.
I live in orlando I pay 150 a week for my 9 month old and 110 a week for my 3 year old and they go full time
I live in ga and I pay $250 a month but my daughter goes to daycare on the military base so its cheaper but civilian daycares here are around 100-200 a week
I live in WA but not in the city. I pay$130 a week for four days a week and $100 a month for pre school.
I'm in New Jersey and I pay $407/week for the two of them
I live in Ontario Canada and our day care for infants starts at $240 a week in most places.. Even my university daycare is that much, come on I'm trying to finish school and I'm paying a ton a year to do so, you still have to charge me that much to watch my kid? :(
That doesn't make sense if your daughter was getting sick from the kids at daycare and your solution was to quit sending her and start ur own aren't you just switching the place the germs are? Bc you're still having her around kids and a group of kids will exchange germs no matter where they are.
$100 a week for any age. Southwest Michigan and a very well recommended home daycare.
This is why me and hubby work opposite shifts so one of us is always home, as the cost of daycare with 3 kids would mean the majority of 1 wage would be spent on childcare.
I just looked at a website for australia daycare and it's about AU$60 a day that's just crazy
And when you calculate how much I make hourly, it's between $2.00-$3.50.... I used to make $30 an hour doing security 32 hours a week, less work more pay. But I got tired of my daughter getting sick every week in daycare so I started my own.
I run a home daycare out of Woodbridge, VA and my rates are $200 a week for infants and $150 weekly 24 months up.
I live in Illinois and I work FT at a daycare and get paid minimum wage.. all assistant teachers do. :(
I live in New Jersey & pay about $900 month...that's only for 2-3 days a week
Do y'all what's crazy, we spend all this money on daycare and I think they get paid minimum wage. That's ridiculous!!!
I live in Missouri for babies under 2 its 200 a weeks after that about 160
It's about $1200 a month where I am (Toronto, Canada)
Dang! This is nuts!!! I knew my area was high, but I didn't think it was like that everywhere!
I work FT from home but hubby switched his hours and works in the evening 3 days per week and then my mom comes over 2 days a week! I pay her $25 per day so that comes out to $200 per month... We couldn't survive without the flexibility of hubby's work and the generosity of my mom!
I've yet to see it cheaper than 1500 a month where I live and have seen places up to almost 3000 a month. While clearly there are some wealthy people in the area, I don't know any person personally who takes home monthly pay at the higher rates. And just barely taking home the lower rates. It's crazy.
I have never used daycare but in Australia I was shocked to find pre school was $300 a term for 2 half days and you provided all food and drinks, and still paid extra for excursions and activities!
Place I'm considering taking my daughter is $275 a week : (
I'm from uk, we pay £1400.00 a month! That's approx $2000! We are the most expensive in the world apparently!
How much is daycare near you and whereabouts do you live?!
I'm from Northern Virginia and it is anywhere from $1000-$1200 per month for an infant.
daycare costs Me thinking ahead to daycare costs, how much are you guys paying for daycare for your little ones? Just saw a rate for $175 a week or $700 a month....and I'm freaking out bc it'll just be me paying that!!!
Ok I have a question If your child is doing 100% remote learning are you the parent staying home or are you sending them to daycare to do remote learning ??
Questions for parents with kids IN daycare , When you take your kids to daycare would you rather see the teachers in scrubs or like a plain scoop next shirt with pants (sweats leggings etc)
RIP to that little baby. At 1035 in the morning at that. The daycare lost their license indefinitely. There was only 4 infant slots at the daycare... if you cant handle the job then LEAVEEEE
In home daycare prices Hey Ladies! I'm starting my own in home daycare within the next few months. I will be licensed and have all the required certifications as well as a bachelors degree in physical education for k-12grades. I'm trying to figure out how much to charge per hour. What do you pay for in home daycare? Do you pay per hour or per week? I'm located in the Chicago suburbs. Any suggestions or advice would also be greatly appreciated!!
