Itching everywhere!!!!!!!!!
Itching everywhere!!!!!!!!!
I am itching from head to toe but I can't see any type of rash! I am not really having any other symptoms other than a slight headache. (yesterday it was an awful headache that lasted ALL day, but this morning it is very little)!! Anyone know what's going on?

I have cholostatis I am 34 weeks 6 days I have bloods taken twice a week and monitoring, I am on 3 different medications, one to stop itching which doesn't work
1 for iron and one to help my liver work
I'm not aloud to go full term I will be induced at 38 weeks if not sooner because my ALT is 211 when it should be no more than 41, I am high risk.
Hope this helps you guys, always go to midwife/doctor for itching, it could be worse than u think x

In my last pregnancy I had obstetric choleostatis and my only symptom was itchy hands and feet. Make sure that your ob does the rare liver test not just a regular liver test otherwise it won't be detected. Good luck:)

I have to fast and go back tomorrow morning for a ton of blood work. My BP has been high, with the sudden weight gain, and the itching they want to do a full work up!
Cholestasis does have more symptoms than just itching but my OB said in most cases, itching is the only thing that shows up. Also, this wasn't dry skin itching, this was from my scalp down to the soles of my feet and my skin felt like it was on fire. Also, no medicine has worked to clear it up either! :-/

well one of the things that is wrong with itching during pregnancy is that you start scratching off your skin! I had this really bad last pregnancy. They gave me steroids and all kinds of stuff, nothing worked! They finally induced bc of it at 38 weeks!

Navywife I was thinking the same thing.
Tons of pregnant women get dry, itchy skin.
Cholestasis has way more symptoms than just itching.

OP.. How's it going? Everything ok?
deleted-user·

My BP is high and I have gained 6 lbs since Friday. They are making me lay on my left side while I wait for the doc instead of sit... Hhhmmmm....

I am at my docs office now for a follow up. Benedryl isn't helping at all!! Hopefully everything is well!

I had it too and my OB sent me to do some blood work to see if it was something in my liver or my lungs and everything came back normal!!
deleted-user·
I had the same exact thing. its called PUPPS rash(only found in pregnancy).... Google it. I took two benadrly at a time and lots of oat meal baths and calamine lotion.....and hot water makes it worse too, try to take as cold of showers as you can stand lol. I hope that helps.....oh and don't scratch!!

im extremely itchy on my legs and tops of my feet and around my ankles. i assumed it's because of the swelling. I've been putting anti itch cream all over myself, don't really know if i should be doing that but i plan to ask my dr.tomorrow

I itch at night. I use lots of lotion & oil so my skin definately isn't dry. Its everywhere except my tummy. I thought it was something associated with pregnancy. I've seen other pregnant women scratch, alot. I forgot to mention it to my doc. I will call the office, today.

Winter skin? The weather has changed plus your hormone level is off the meter!
deleted-user·
maybe just dry skin?! try some good lotion or bio oil?
deleted-user·
i itch like hell have done since 5 weeks and am 20 wks now! i had it last time round too and hear of others its quite common x
deleted-user·
That's rubbish!!! Can't believe they did nothing. Is there anywhere else you can go?
Ashley Roan·
I called OB and she sent me to ER... Not L&D (she specifically said go to ER and they would send me too L&D if need be). Well I have been here for over an hour and they gave me benedryl and it hasn't helped at all. They are just going to send me home... No work up, no labs, no urine culture.. Nothing!!! :(

I am itchy too! I had this my last pregnancy and got induced bc of it bc the itching got worse and worse.
deleted-user·
I would if I was you. Let us know how you get on. X
Ashley Roan·
It is mostly in my arms and down around my ankles but it is all over too... Neck, face, inner thighs, back... Not so much on my belly and breasts though. :-( I guess I will be calling the doctor.

That what I was going to say. My best friend, both her sisters suffer from it at this stage in there pregnancy. I would get checked
