Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?
This is my son Walter. Today is his birthday. He would have been five. This picture was taken when he was 16 days old. He was my first child and my only son (I now have 3 girls). He passed away the next day after this picture from congenital heart failure. It was a miracle that he lived passed 12 weeks gestation because of how severe his heart defects were. I miss him so much, I can't believe it's been 5 years. It still hurts so bad. I don't talk about him a lot out loud because I end up bawling, so i thank you for letting me share this with you ladies. You have always been nice and supportive. Happy birthday son, your mom loves you.
Who else has financial issues within their relationship?? Or am I just lucky 🙄🙄 Not sure if I'm being just mean or what. But my SO used $160 from me this morning. I gave him my bank card because he needed $60 to get material for work. His boss was going to give it back to him at the end of the day. So instead of $60 he took out $160. Which I was a little pissed. (One of the reasons I just can't let him use my card. I have to go get the money from the atm myself if I'm giving it to him) then, tonight he asked for $20 incase his boss didn't give it to him. So I gave him my card not even thinking because I had kids running around me. I asked if he could pick up a few things that were out of and told him he could use my card if he has too. And I even told him not to get the expensive brands or anything m generic is fine. So he does. But when he does he decides to go Easter shopping for the kids. (Not sure if he used to my card or not) but if he did, I'd be even more pissed. He knows I have bills to pay on top of giving my son's school money that I owe them. He goes to a private school and I haven't paid in 5 months. It's towards the end of school now so I need to pay it. He knows this month I am extremely tight because of the school, im already in debt and my credit score sucks. I have been trying not to get in more debt and actually fix my credit. I'm so frustrated. It's like we have different priorities and different ideas on this. I feel like I'm completely drowning!!
my SO is really mad at me :( So i came home from visiting my mom and my SO is in the living room eating something i ask him what hes eating and he says candy i tell him to give me some and he points to my prenatal gummys , i had ripped out the sticker and i left them on the kitchen table soo i tell him they are my vitamins and he flips out hes soo mad at me i havent seen him this upset in a long time his acting like hes going to turn into a woman or his penis is going to shrink or something he only ate about ten i though it was funny at first but it has almost been an hour n hes still really upset.. :(
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

First off lots of mom's struggle big time the first few weeks. Good lord know I did! Second what you pump is definitely just as good! The problem with pumping is that many mom's struggle because the pump doesn't do as good a job as baby but there are plenty of mom's who exclusively pump!
I suggested to keep in contact with you lc of course. A few things I'd try is get really relaxed even take a bath and do skin to skin. Not when baby's hungry but just to induce comfort nursing. Stay calm, I'd he doesn't latch that's fine enjoy the closeness and snuggles... repeat often.

Okay first off, breast milk has the same nutritional benefits whether it is direct from the boob or pumped. Your MIL can mind her own.
Second, do what YOU want. Do you want to work on getting babe to nurse, or are you content to pump and bottle feed?

Keep your head up and just keep offering the breast. As far as your MIL she's an idiot. Breast milk from the bottle is fine. Its not different. And if pumping doesn't work and you end up formula feeding that is fine too. Just worry about your baby. You will have many years to worry if you're a bad mom. Don't use up all that stress on breast feeding. Hugs and good luck.

Take the edge off his hunger by feeding from the bottle for a few minutes. (Look into paced feeding so you aren't feeding too quickly).
Then transfer to breast when you've settled the hunger. This worked for me in the beginning. I was eventually able to skip the bottle step.

And no you aren't a bad mom!

I am content pumping and bottle feeding , but I would be very happy to just have him feed from me, I want that bonding.

It's so hard going from bottle to boob. It's not your fault and it's not his fault. He was born jaundice and you made the best decision for him, he learned that bottles are way easier and quicker.
A good Mom has nothing to do with how you feed your baby. A good Mom rolls with the punches, is flexible to her babies needs, and doesn't let herself be consumed by guilt. You are a good Mom... keep anyone who makes you feel different away for a little while. You don't need that energy around you as a new Mom.
If you want to keep trying breastfeeding, like pp said, offer the bottle till he's somewhat satisfied, then offer the breast. Keep decreasing time at the bottle and increase time at the breast. I'd also try feeding right after a hot shower when your let down will be stronger. Lots of skin to skin too! Take a whole day off from life for just you and your baby to work on nursing.
You should be able to wean him back to breast, but if you can't, don't beat yourself up. There are a million other ways to bond with him!

I pumped, and gave him in a bottle since he was 3 days old. He wouldn't latch, had lip tie and tongue tied. I never gave up trying to breastfeed though, every few days I always tried him on my breast and still it was a big freak out everytime. He got a cold at 2.5 months old so I put him on my boob again, he latched so well, no nipple shield or nothing! And ever since I can put him on my boob any given time but I still rather give him the bottle. Don't give up! My lactation consultant was the best and helped me greatly throughout.

I pumped for 3 weeks before reintroducing my breast. And over the course of a week and the help of a nipple shield and Google i weaned dd of bottles and back onto my breast. Give it time.

My son never latched onto my boob and I expressed for 9 months until I got pneumonia and couldn't do it anymore. It was better than giving up entirely and it was a labour of love. My daughter latched on effortlessly and that's just how it goes. Don't feel bad, don't feel guilty. Just do whatever you need to do! Again, do whatever you need to do!

You're not a bad mom.
If you choose to reintroduce the boob what I did was bottle feed close to the nipple, put the baby on the nipple, and drip milk from the bottle on the nipple until my milk was stronger and regulated.
Lots of tears from both of us but now I can't get her off the boob and onto bottles lol

Express some so there milk on your nipple. Don't try too long to latch because he'll just get frustrated. Have you tried different feeding positions? Dd preferred the football hold when she was an infant.

I've just gone through all this too. Except my LO didn't lose weight, just gained slowly. I've had to accept that while he can have breastmilk, he just has to have it mostly via bottles and topped off with formula. I give him mostly BM and then about 3-4 formula bottles a day. At first I was stressing and at times I still do feel that way-breastfeeding is simply so much easier than pumping and bottle feeding. But I've had to accept that this Little Guy is just unique from my previous 5 who had no difficulties breastfeeding. My thing is I love to care for my Babies and don't want to just hand them over to others to feed them etc. But I can still do that with the bottle. I just enjoy every second holding and cuddling him while I feed him whether it's by breast or by bottle.

First of all you are a great mom! You are doing what is best for your baby!
The beginning is always a challenge, I exclusively pumped for 3months because we just could not get a proper latch...we would both cry during feedings. One day I was taking to my cousin and she told me she was having the same problem with her son and that one day she just got so tired of pumping all day she attached him to the boob and was a perfect latch! She ended up bf till like 4 lol. So that night I went home attached baby to the boob and surprise she latched and it was pain free! I cried happy tears the whole time and even my husband was excited!
Continue doing what you are doing momma
