Do you guys think it's pointless to buy new clothes at this point? I'm 33 weeks tomorrow, so I still have 7 weeks left with nothing that fits me, literally everything I bought a month or 2 ago doesn't fit. I have like 3 shirts that fit me. My boyfriend said it was pointless to get new clothes at this point but I don't think it is..I don't even like doing anything anymore because of lack of clothes that fit lol.

I always turn to leggings haha or maxi skirts and dresses

I was having the same problem. I bought a few maxi dresses and tops that can be worn when I'm not pregnant.

My local goodwill has a maternity section. Maybe try someplace similar for a few pieces than could get you through? For regular shopping, I like Christopher and Banks for tops. I've only bought 1 maternity top because a lot of mine were already longer ones made from stretchy no wrinkle fabric.

Lol i so feel you on this one! However, i just like your partner think its a little pointless. At this point im just getting dresses bcus at least those i'll be able to wear afterwards but maternity wise nope unless you're trynna get pregnant right after

Just find a store that sales cheap(not cheaply made) clothing lol. I've been wearing regular clothing for the most part instead of maternity, I just up'd the size and wear nice sweats or bottoms that have some stretch. Also sundresses. I can still wear certain things after birth until I can get back to my pre pregnancy size. Look around a little

I bought a few things (non maternity) a size or two up at old navy, their sale rack is like heaven! lol

Just get a few dresses. Its definitely not pointless! I hate wearing the same clothes over and over again! Pregnant or not go to a cheap store like rainbow or roses n get u a few.

I keep buying sun dresses ! But I refuse to buy bigger shirts/pants

Oh man I'm the same, I went shopping today & still can't find anything that fits me or I just don't like anything. I'm a complete whale though??

@ehynson I wish I would be that lucky. I'm a FTM so I have no idea how my clothes will fit but I was superrrr small before pregnancy 100 pounds and now weigh almost 150 so I feel like they won't fit maybe ever again lol.

I guess I'm waiting it out because I usually can wear my regular clothes right after(3-4days) I give birth.

@shaina girl I live in Florida and it is already SO hot here. I deff need to invest in some dresses it's just hard for me to find any that look halfway okay lol.
kori·
Yeah I think I'm gonna get a few things because I'm miserable just thinking about going out and having to get dressed because of having nothing ? I hate it. And I still have a few weeks left so I don't see it as a huge waste.

I'm definitely buying more dresses. I'll be able to wear them after and it's going to get hot as hell in VA.
deleted-user·
If you nothing to wear its not pointless, its fun and itll make you feel good to have clothes that look nice and fit, its up to you. You can still wear them after birth they will just be baggier

I ended up buying a few things. I am 34 weeks. I was invited out to dinner and I had absolutely nothing to wear. So I sucked it up and bought non maternity items but can be worn as maternity. Such as an empire waist top and sundress.

I don't think so...your uterus doesn't go back down instantly, you'll look about 4-6 months pregnant until it contracts down fully again. Plus a soft squishy belly.
Anyways I'd buy some clothes if you want. I just bought myself 2 dresses and 3 shirts the other day lol

At about 31 weeks I bought myself three flowy dresses at old navy that I can wear now and post-pregnancy. I am sooooo glad I did get them, as they are my only comfy clothes! I wouldn't have bought exclusively maternity stuff at this point though.

Get a few things. 40 dollars (or whatever) worth of shirts is totally worth feeling more comfortable and confident in the next couple weeks. I'm almost 33 weeks and I know I need more shirts and another pair of shorts. I can't stand going out looking like a slob when I already feel fat.
deleted-user·
I'm feeling the same way. Nothing fits or looks right but I don't know if it's worth spending the money to wear a shirt for less then a couple months. Sorry! I am no help! Maybe just grab one or two and keep it cheap!
deleted-user·
I think it's pointless. If I were you I would keep rotating my same pieces that fit. Buy something if you plan on going out like date night or something
kori·
@mrsthomas It sucks so bad lol. I can't wait to wear normal clothes again ?
kori·
I've been looking at the sale section on the motherhood site lol. They have an extra 25 percent off of sale stuff so you can get stuff for pretty cheap. I just need a few to get me by.

lol I was in the same boat this morning - I might hit up a clearance rack to get me through the next few weeks
