Sleeping with blankets

I still have her crib with just a fitted sheet, but when is it officially ok to have a little blanket or stuffed animal in there? Her room is right above the garage and it gets colder faster and even though she never fusses I still feel bad...

Cole loves to wrap himself in a blanket and cuddle with stuffed animals, so I have a blanket and two stuffed animals in his. He's never had issues with them being in there, he moves if he needs to

My son sleeps with a blanket. I just put it up to his waist. But this joker pulled it up before falling asleep once! I cracked up. He moves a lot too but he can move it if need be. I put a sleep sack on him if it gets too chilly. So I know he's covered at all times and won't get cold

@ybm it wasn't recalled and we've changed the batteries multiple times with no issues. Thanks for the heads up though. I keep a watch on it just in case.

My son uses a blanket but he don't sleep in a crib. He rubs his blanket on his face to go to sleep then when he's almost out he pulls it away. I'd try to introduce them at nap times and see how your baby does.

Thanks for the input ladies. She seems comfortable now in footed pajamas too, but I know once summer hits my husband will want to crank the AC.

@smox the glow sea horse was malfunctioning and catching fire. I have one that my son loved but ever since I saw the videos I became too scared to let him have it. I don't know if it was recalled or not.

My son has had a stuffed animal (heart beat bear) and baby blanket since he was like 3 months. He lifted his head and rolled over both ways very soon so I knew he was safe.

We kept the crib empty until my daughter moved into her big girl bed around fifteen months. No plans to put anything in the crib with this little guy anytime soon (ever), he seems to do fine in footed pajamas.

Colt has had a blanket or a receiving blanket over him since I brought him home. I use everything from a fleece blanket to even a towel one time. He's a wiggly worm but always manages to keep himseld covered up.

No blanket here. I'll also keep the crib empty until after a year.

I use a blanket with Aiden. It's not very big, but it's big enough for him. I just make sure it's below his armpits and i tuck him in with it.

My LO has a blanket on her and she does just fine. She doesn't move a lot in her sleep though. It is starting to warm up and once it gets too warm the blanket will not be used.

My dd sleeps better with her arms tucked, so we have been using a blanket the whole time. We used to have a light blanket over her swaddle, now we tuck her in with a warmer blanket.

My dd has two blankets, two blanket stuffed animals (lovies), and three pacifiers (just in case she losses one). She moves around a lot too.

We have a sensory pad in her crib too. We started using that because of her laryngomalacia. She sometimes aspirated and stopped breathing (just a few seconds, but enough to freak us out). It gives us piece of mind and it works! The alarm will go off if she gets too far in one corner.

My daughter has had a blanket as a lovey. I've let her take it to bed for a few months now. She loves to rub the corner or lay her head on it.

I still have an empty crib too but occasionally I use a light blanket and just cover his legs. He can crawl and stand so he will be able to move if his face gets covered.

I still use a thick sleep sack if it gets cold. She moves around so much I'd get nervous with her having a blanket.

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!
