random question

Your mil wishes you a happy birthday on Facebook, but it's not your birthday. She's a day off. So you say thank you or correct her?

My mil was a month off! Lol I didn't even respond cause after 15 years I'm not gonna make a big deal out of it if she doesn't know it by now.

My husband let her know. I guess early is better than the fact that she's been late every year.

Hell after 6 years my bil has never wished me a hb

Maybe she doesn't get on Facebook that often and didn't want to forget? My grandma always posts a few days early to make sure she doesn't miss it just in case she doesn't get on that day. I would just say thank you. Who cares if it's a day early.

I would just say thank you. She's only a day off, it's not that big of a deal.

Just say thank you. If you correct her online she might get all mad and cause pointless drama (if she's anything like my mil).

It's a day off.I would just say thank you. I don't call people out and correct them when doing something nice. Especially on social media if you must I'd just shoot her a text or remind her next time.

Mine called me three days later at midnight to sing me happy birthday on my answering machine. She said she called that late because she wanted to be the first to wish me a happy 30th. ? I said thanks. (She doesn't know she was actually the last haha)

I would say thank you and correct ? at least she tried...my own grandmother got my birthday wrong one year. She was off by a day and thought I was 16 instead of 17.

Just say thanks. My MIL always forgets all of our birthdays.

Both. It isn't until tomorrow but thanks!

My "mil" did that to me this year. I thanked her. And said I checked her off the birthday wishes list for tomorrow. With a winkie face

I never need reminders... i would be a terrible friend if I forget?

Since I have no FB, my friends forget my birthday?

Ответить

Facebook sometimes screws up & has birthday reminders the day before the persons actual birthday. It used to happen to me when I had one.

I'd just say thank you and leave it. She will probably realise her mistake tomorrow

"It's tomorrow but thank you"

Wait a second, doesn't Facebook give birthday reminders?

I don't think it's on purpose, I just think I'm until farthest person from her mind so after 6 years, it's not a date to remember

Oh then I would just correct her. Lol.

Do you think she does it on purpose? I mean clearly a week ago isn't a long time to remember something, but is she forgetful of other things as well?

The only annoying thing is we just got done telling her what day it was like a week ago because they've forgotten every year

I would just say thank you without correcting her. She will probably find out from someone else like your dh and then possibly feel dumb but at least it's not you making her feel that way.

I would correct her and still say thanks.

This happened to my SO today. His birthday was yesterday and my mom thought it was today. He just laughed it off and I corrected her.
