OMG!! Advise please!
So me and my husband have been keeping my pregnancy a secret from family. We have 3 more weeks to go until we reveal it! Well my older sister just called and told me she FINALLY got pregnant after 6+ moths of trying. She literally just took the test and called. Now she is calling my mother ON HER BIRTHDAY to tell her she's pregnant. She is 3 weeks 3 days along, I'm 10 weeks....do i keep the secret until the second trimester as planned or let her know I'm pregnant...and ahead of her??
Well she already announced to my family. I think I'm going to wait. My sister can't be very emotional...without being pregnant. I hope she reacts well. At the end of the day i need to do whats best for me and my baby.
I'd let her know, and if her feelings are important I'd talk to her about how you both want to do it. I'm sure you can find a way/time to do it without stealing thunder :) OR do a double reveal!?
I would of LOVED to do that with one of my sisters! My parents would of fallen to the floor!
I'm in the exact situation. my bkyfriends sister who had been trying told the family the day we were going to. so now we are waiting till 13 weeks so we can say
oh well we wanted to make sure everything was gonna be ok. unfortunately his sister and I are only 3 days apart. (out due dates) I'm 11 weeks. so it's difficult. u just gotta tell em when Ur ready. they aren't gonna hate you. and now yours and your sisters kid can grow up together
I was actually just in the position that your sister is in! I wanted to wait until we were 12 or 13 weeks before telling anyone other than my parents but then it just snowballed out of control and by the time I was 6 or 7 weeks my whole family knew. We actually called my brother and his wife and their 2 girls on Skype to tell them. Then last week while we were on Skype with them they announced that they're pregnant too and she's a week ahead of me! They knew that they were expecting when I told them. They had also been trying for almost a year. It honestly didn't bother me at all. (My only concern is that I've had bad experiences with cousins close to my age, but I think this will be very different) I cried but only because I was happy. We've been bonding over being pregnant together all week and I love it. She has always been someone to wait the whole 12/13 weeks before announcing and the only reason she didn't wait is because my parents and brother are going to California to visit them and she didn't think she could hide it. Sorry this is so long, but I hope it helps! You can message me if you want to know more. I just think I have a unique perspective to this :)
I couldn't have sai itd any better than msmagz. She put it beautifully! Honestly hunny, flip that around and think about. Would you be upset if she had waited to tell you and your family? I think not. As someone who had been trying for so long to get pregnant I can see why she told right away! It was sheer excitement and relief that she could have a baby! Your family loves you equally and will embrace both of your pregnancies with the same excitement and joy! You just need to be there for your sister as she will be there for you though out your pregnancy. Hope this helps! Wishing you a happy and stress free pregnancy(:
I know that feeling! Granted mine wasn't my sister it was my cousin... She just had a baby in Jan and preg again! This is her fourth and ofcourse tagged me in every post announcing it! So all my friends had 'their in-put' to share with me, along with my parents and Aunts (this is my fourth too but my youngest is 3). We are waiting until we know the gender to announce so I still have 12wks to 'hide' it. My cousin is only 3 wks.
I say stick to the plan especially if you had a cute way planned on sharing!!!!
Guess i get to be a mommy and an Aunt all with in 2 months!
Do you guys think she will feel cheated that i didn't bother to tell her?
I think you should stick to your original plan. Give her this time to shine and remember why you chose to wait. If she's only a few weeks along then she'll probably have those same fears of mc like most women do. We all know how scary those thoughts are and no one wants to experience them. By waiting and revealing when you're ready you'll give her the assurance and positivity she needs during that time. No need to worry about other people's excitement you're further along and your sister will probably look to you for guidance. Your family will be equally excited. Don't let those thoughts cloud your and your husbands happiness :)
Try not to think that way. You've had an ultrasound and once you see the heartbeat your chance of mc drops significantly. Think positively and do what feels best for you when it comes to announcing. We have always officially announced after the first ultrasound and we have 2 healthy kids (a 4yr old daughter and 22 month old son) and are on baby #3. I am announcing after my 1st ultrasound this time as well, despite when other people choose to announce its all personal preference. :)
Suddenly i feel more insecure about my own pregnancy, like i can't bring myself to announce because i haven't gotten a second ultra sound! Like what if i had a missed mc and i announce early and go to the us and find out....damn hormones
I say wait until you had originally planned. Your sister has no idea you're pregnant too, so it's not like she's doing anything on purpose. Some people like to share pregnancy news with family immediately, I am also one of those people so I can relate to your sister- we were also trying for 9 months this time (baby #3). If your original plan is wait then I would just stick with it, it doesn't put you behind your sister at all you're just announcing further on:)
Bump anyone else? Need as much advise as possible lol
Yeah i think that she was trying will make it worse. We weren't trying, weren't even planning. we've only been married 6 months.
Sadly i feel like she stole my shine (just didn't know it) like now everyone is going to be excited about gets because they have known longer.
This girl on my fb is 8 weeks pregnant with her first child and she said she felt the baby 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️people these days 😂😂😂

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!

My August baby decided she wanted to be a May baby like her big sister. Madison Noelle was born on Tuesday, May 24 at 3:50pm, weighing 2lbs, 13oz and 14". She was born at 27 weeks and has a long road ahead of her. Every day she has been getting stronger and amazing everyone. Please keep us in your prayers, my family and I have a long road ahead of us. Congratulations to everyone and I wish you all wonderful pregnancies and deliveries! ??❤️
