TMI post ??????

Have you ladies noticed that now that you're pregnant, it's harder and more painful to poop? It seems like I'm tearing down there every time I try to go. It hurts so bad!!!!! I try to eat foods with fiber and drink 6-8 glasses of water but obviously that's not enough!!!

Not me, that doesn't sound normal at all (2nd pregnancy here) maybe you need to change your diet

I've been constipated for the past two weeks. Got a fever, my body refused anymore food, and the doc was no help at all! I had to use an enema and OMG I've never felt better! Even lost 3 pounds lol :)

Snking88 that sucks. What do you take for your constipation?? I've noticed that I haven't had much green vegetables lately so I think I need to change that.

Most commonly, esp for me, it is the iron in the prenatals. Unfortunately, I have low iron levels so on top of taking the prenatal, I have to take 650mg of iron a day, which makes you soooo constipated! Red meats too. Gah, it's a pain in the butt. Drink a lot of water, juice, and green veggies! Especially broccoli. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I have.

Jojobean, it seems like my baby don't want me to eat fruits now!! So weird but I force myself to eat them bc I know I need to.

Eating fruits should help too! Also probiotics help a ton, I take a chewable one every day and my constipation is completely gone now.

Thanks ladies. I will definitely try that. And oops....maybe that's why I always feel dehydrated. I'm definitely not drinking enough water ? and my prenatals could be the reason also. Sighs the joys of pregnancy lol

Try taking 400mg of Magnesium before bed. Not only will it help you become regular it helps with the muscle spasms/cramps

I haven't had this issue ever since I stopped taking my prenatal pills bc they were making me sick & started chewing gummies. I think the prenatals def play a role in it -__-
