2 year old taking off diaper constantly

2 year old taking off diaper constantly

What does this mean and why is he constantly doing it? He takes it off if it's dry or wet. Everytime I turn my back it's off and he already got pee all over his playpen and it's really not cleanable. Is it a sign that I should potty train? All he does with his potty is sometimes sit on it, and pretend he is going potty, but mostly uses it to stand on to get things up high he can't normally reach.

Potty Training time ? ..... it's the most BEAUTIFUL design written in history.

Why, you might ask ?

Because, they can now do what a big person does and get rid of it like a big person.

Also, one less worry and clean?

Happy Garbage can and bag

Happy you !

Happy life.

My son will be 2 next month and has been taking his diaper off also. He comes to me and says "tee tee, tee tee!" And grabs my hand to lead me to the bathroom. We've been letting him use the potty when he wants to and he's mostly been dry. Sometimes he's wet at night and after naps but he just seems to be intent on peeing in the potty.

Well he now knows how's to take off a diaper when it's on backwards, go figure

My daughter was doing that too, along with other signs of readiness. I attempted to train her and she was trained in less than a week.

@yaya what are some of the signs of readiness, especially for the 3 day method. My son's been taking off his diaper for a while but I can tell he's not ready just yet.

Though I would really like him to be potty trained by the time this baby is born, I have no issue waiting until he's fully ready so it's a quick & easy process.

Well that's just your opinion@yaya that it alone isn't a sign..lots of women would beg to differ though..but even combined with other signs it's still a sign though which was the point....it's just certain things like this I won't say what is or isn't or what'll work or won't because every child is different. Yes you may have potty trained lots of children but that's still not obviously every child...again because what is a sign for others might not be a sign for some..simple as that. But alright girl I think we've made our opinions pretty clear...moving on lol

Sounds like he's ready. I would try the seats that you place directly on the toilet. My DD thought The floor potty's were for playing not for using but as soon as we made her sit on the actual toilet she was good to go

If this is combined with other signs of readiness then it's a good time to start training. But standing alone, in the absence of other signs, this isn't a sign of readiness on its own.

I've potty trained more kids than I can remember. There are some generally agreed upon signs of readiness, particularly for the 3 day method. Without the signs of readiness, potty training usually takes at least 4 months, usually longer. Which means many accidents and possible frustration. The upside to early training is that your child I'd usually done training at a younger age than if you wait for readiness. Both methods work and there are pros and cons to each one. It just depends on what works best for your family.

My 2 year old just woke up from his nap diaperless. He takes his shorts off and then diaper. No accidents...yet?

My nephew did this. He's on the spectrum so he wasn't quite ready for potty training yet. My sister put his diapers on backwards lol

But every child shows different signs though. You can't say it's not a sign just because it wasn't a sign for your child..just sayin..because for a few friends of ours and our family that's what we all did...it might not be for some but definitely true for others.

My 13 month old does this all the time right now! He just likes a free wiener I think lol

It's a common mistake. You can start potty training anytime, of course. But if you are waiting for the signs of readiness, this isn't one of them.

Oh man I really thought it was a sign, Because that's what everyone keeps telling me, it's potty training time.

It's a new skill that he's learned and he's excited about it. It is not a sign of potty training readiness.

We're learning potty time. But dd is two and does this. I just always have a pair of shorts on her. If she comes to me asking for the potty I take her pants off. But she just mostly likes to be naked haha

My son does this, he just likes to be naked. I put shorts or a onesie on him to prevent him from taking it off.

You can also try putting the diaper on backwards. Lol. Had to do that with dd for a while because she'd take it off at night but couldn't figure out how with it backwards.

Turn a onesie backwards to stop him. Maybe he likes being nekkie, Aliyn loved, well still loves running around doing nudie runs ?

Not sure but we've started putting shorts on lo and fastening the bottom of the onesie between his legs, over his shorts. Its working so far.

My ds takes his diaper off all the time. It's just because he likes to be naked. Lol I just make sure to keep a pair of shorts on him all the time.

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

I have had it!! My son will be 2 in September. He constantly takes his diaper off (especially when he poops) we have already started potty training him, but with him being so young he doesn't tell us he has to go, we just kind of have to catch him before he does. I have tried so many different things. If he has on pants he takes them off and then takes his diaper off, if he has on a onesie he pulls on it until the snaps open and pulls his diaper off. I'm just so tired of cleaning poop out of his bed. Does anyone have ANY advice to help? I'm desperate!

Paternity leave How much time did your S/O take off of work when you had a baby? Luckily I live in California so we have 6 weeks paid paternity leave (55%), but my S/O is getting s*** at work for taking 4 weeks. It's honestly infuriating that people are asking why he needs so much time off and "he's not going to be taking care of the baby the whole time". Umm it's called BONDING LEAVE. It's such bull s*** how people expect dad's to take way less time off as if it's not their kid too. Dad's deserve time off with their new babies too. Just had to rant about this ?
