Egg sharing
Hi, I have had an appointment at a clinic, they first told me that egg sharing would cost £100 for a blood test and £300 for a scan and then I get IVF for free as I share my eggs.
I did egg share at crm care London and I had to pay £75 hfea fees. I think there are blood test fees aswel but I'd had them done on a previous cycle at a different clinic so im not sure how much they cost. That was all I had to pay but then I also needed a sperm donor and opted for icsi which obviously increased my payments. I just saved as much as I could and then just paid as much as I could whenever I could until the balance was paid. The staff are so lovely at crm care, you could try there? I have 16 week old twins from that cycle and I know the lady I egg shared with also got pregnant too.
I have also used Harley street clinic and paid as I went along with treatment, the fees were just for blood tests and hfea costs ( again I had a donor and icsi)
I have a four year old boy from this cycle.
I highly recommend these clinics x
Thank ls for getting back to me :) we do have a few thousand put aside but don't want to spend out and then have no savings. So I think a few more months wages/saving then we'll go back. good luck with your treatments etc. Hope all goes well x
We're patients at Cambridge but I'm guessing the prices are all the same.
Totally feel your frustrations!!! It's very naughty that they haven't been transparent about the costs from the start. They do a guarantee success or your money back on IVF have you explored that...? It's crazy money but least there is some guarantee that you'll either get your BFP or your money back. So rubbish that being a parent for some comes down to how much money they have in the bank :-(
Yea with Bourne hall. I went to Colchester. I understand that they are doing it at a heavily discounted price compared to IVF without the egg share but it's just frustrating that they say it's free, when it's not. Then I got a little bit further and they say you pay for the blood test and scan. get a little bit further on and it's up to £2000! I'm just so worried that if I start the process, more costs are going to start totting up, and then the fact that you never know if it will work or not, it's such a massive risk. We have been trying for 2 years and I'm just feeling like I'll never get my baby :( just don't know what else I can do but pay the money.
Is this Bourn Hall? I'm a patient with them also but I am funding it as it's only IUI with donor sperm and not as expensive as IVF.
I've seen that Bourn give free IVF in East Anglia if you donate. They also give free IVF if someone else donates (sperm or egg) and nominates you. I'm not sure of the behind the scenes costs though.
The best of luck x
oh and in the uk please :) I'm in east anglia. I'm willing to travel but max distance London really. closer if poss!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
The egg sharing program is amazing! I know spending the money hurts, but honestly what are 2000 pounds if you end up with a baby!
Here in the US, we have to shell out 12000-25000 pounds per cycle. Some get coverage by insurance, but they still pay about 5000 pound out of pocket. I hope you'll find a way to finance it.
