vaginal progesterone caps mean no intercourse

We didn't get any instructions. We did have sex but I felt burning after thanks to the "messeries"

Panda i completely understand you i am 7 weeks and still waiting. Even after my ultrasound they told me to wait. Im going monday and hopefully they clear me because the hormones are crazy and the dreams are constant.

They told me no intercourse til beta. Did the beta then they said none until the scan. They say it can cause bleeding which freaks people out.

So I don't think it's progesterone related. Seems more about the cervix.

I'm dying here... these preggy hormones are insane. I'm waking up having sex dreams now ? how am I supposed to wait almost 3 weeks?!

Maybe wishing has the best solution here. Ill ask the doc tomorrow and see if he clears it rectally

I hadn't heard of doing it rectally. Do you find it less messy than vaginally?

I do mine rectally ?? no mess and no risk to DH become a woman if we have intercourse, but saying that it gives me some lethal wind ? ???

I'm on the progesterone oil injections and the inserts too. Dr said it was ok so long as it's 2 hours after you insert it. I think that's how long it takes for the body to absorb the progesterone. Whatever else comes out, it's just residue from the insert. Not a problem for DH :)

You can still do the deed but I definitely didn't want to with all the weird discharge. Sorry if tmi...

Eangell :Thats better news! Did your dr mention if the meds would hurt our dh ?

My doctor said no intercourse 2 hours before and 2 hours after inserting them.

Thats the weird part i am on injections too now im wondering why am i on both? Im on oil progesterone and vaginal progesterone caps hmm. Thats alot of progesterone right? What are u ladys on ?

Why don't you switch to injections?

Thats the problem i am on them twice a day once in the am and before bed

You could always use a condom if your worried! DH and I would still BD when I was on them but I was only taking them once a day so we would BD an hour or so before I would insert them and I would ask him to pull out.

I would check with a doctor too... only bc I'm not sure how safe it is for anyone else to be exposed to the hormones either.
