Semen definitely causes it to be really bad. But I have it even when we aren't intimate. I'm going to try and change my diet and look into a probiotic.

Maybe your man has it and that’s why you keep getting it? Could be something else that your doctor is missing I’d see another doctor for second opinion. Vaginas are a sensitive thing... it could be numerous different things. When I was teenager I kept getting some kind of infection I forget what it was but it was because of the soap I was using. Once I switched the problem stopped.

I've had it since I was 17. Him and I have only been together since I was 22. So I dnt think it's him. Plus I have it when we arent intimate.

@jleona, still could be something with him. New partners can throw off your oh balance and carry bacteria etc. like I said va jay jays are very sensitive organs one little thing and you get all thrown off. Hell thongs can cause yeast infections. I’d get a second opinion with a different doctor. And make sure you aren’t using anything that can bother you like soaps, laundry detergent, even your bf what he uses, what kind of underwear you wear etc. those things play a big role.

@missjess yes. I've gone down the list of everything it could be. I've changed soaps, detergents, tried sleeping with no underwear, stopped wearing tight jeans, all the home remedies, didn't have sex for over a month and I still keep getting it. My last two options are to change my diet which can definitely be what the issue really is .. And go to a specialist. I'm just tired of having this problem. I feel disgusting.

I’m not sure if BV and Yeast Infections are similar. But I’ve always been super susceptible to Yeast infections. I only clean downstairs with Johnson & Johnson. I’ve only been with my husband ever and we have a very active sex life so I’ve been told that could be why. If you are very active with your SO that could be the culprit. Also if he finishes inside you it changes your PH balance and can create odors

I have had bv a few times not reoccurring . Could diet have a play in it . Something to consider and look into just a friendly bit of help not trying to judge or anything

Honestly I do think my diet has a lot to do with it actually.

I know that some women are just more prone to getting them. I have had it about 3 times in my lifetime and it's a nuisance. They say you can prevent it by washing with soap that doesn't have a scent or strong chemicals, peeing before and after sex, wearing cotton underwear I believe etc. You just have to figure out what triggers it the most. I notice I got mine mostly after sex and using a new lube

@jleona I use dove for sensitive skin too. The only thing else I can think of is maybe your detergent? Maybe it's throwing you off.

@miss_understood I have used tons of different ones. Even the free and clear with no fragrance. Still getting it. I'm just so fed up.

Not trying to be all up in your business. But have you gotten tested for std's.?
@jleona that's not good maybe try seeing a new doctor and see if there's something else going on besides the bv or maybe they can find out why its not going away

@jleona I would. I just seen you've been dealing with it for 9(?)years. That's definatly not good for your body I would demand answers cause there has to be an underlying cause
I had BV before a few times and i got prescribed antibiotics and it went away, maybe you need something a little stronger since it keeps coming back.

@jleona, did you ever get antibiotics for it? I had it last month and didn’t know , my
Ob did a swab and it came back for bv i took the antibiotics and it’s been gone .

I wouldn't call it chronic but I've gotten bv twice this pregnancy and once before it. All with the same relationship of four years.
Apparently some men carry certain bacteria in their semen that cause it.

other than that Idk. But I read on here they make probiotics for your vag now? Maybe look into that.
