not sure on what to do just needed to complain..
Ive been struggling with breast feeding eveytime i feed my son i feel numb and so many times have just broke down crying. I love him so much but its stressful.. I would ask doctor for help but ive had bad experiences with multiple depression meds in past... pumping i wanted to do but im not getting the support at home from family to be able to really get started . And then when ive supplemented formula the father is disappointed cause he want his son to have breast milk witch makes since but makes it hard. Sorry for it being so long this was more for me to rant/complain.

Has your milk come in yet? Have you tried pumping?

So sorry you’re going through a rough time right now. Have you talked to your doctor about how you’re feeling? Does your son have a good latch? Is it possible for your SO to help out while you pump at the same time each day? Since he wants you to breastfeed, let him know you need help for those times you need to pump.
It’s tough to breastfeed or pump when you don’t have the support. So sorry?

Are you feeling down because of the whole experience or just while breastfeeding? If it's just while breastfeeding, you could have dysphoric milk ejection reflex. Also, I didn't have it that bad with my first, but I always felt weird and tingly during the letdown reflex, which helped if I actively ate or drank while feeding. This got better with time. Good luck mama!

Breastfeeding is near impossible without good support. Can you get a lactation consultant to come to your house and talk to org you and your husband?

See a lactation consultant, they are a lot more supportive than drs sometimes. The beginning of breastfeeding is the hardest. I say after the 6th week thing usually get easier. Don't give up though, I know how hard it is to feel alone and empty but you're strong and can over come this. I usually get pretty depressed after I have my babies and I'm scared that it will happen again but as hard as it is we have to find a way to push through. I don't think my family really understand either but try to find a therapist to talk to, sometimes what we need most is just someone to listen and tell us we're not crazy for feeling the way we do.

Breastfeeding is difficult even with loads of support so if you’re not feeling supported that can make things even harder. If you want to continue breastfeeding a lactation consultant is your best bet but please don’t feel like you have to breastfeed. A fed baby is best and formula is totally ok! Plus you need to be happy as well as baby and of nursing isn’t working for you that’s ok. If that feeling continues please talk to your doctor. I hope things get better momma.
