Labor signs
I legit don’t know know exactly what to look for. With my twins I had no symptoms and my water just broke so I went in an hours later I gave birth. With my youngest it was an emergency c section because he wasn’t moving.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer. My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk outside without this information. Children of color are being targeted and killed too. It’s not just adults. I let my son know we treat everyone equally and with respect. I let him know that we love everyone for their differences. In every aspect. Color, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual preference we love everyone.

Bloody show terrifies me too. It sound alike a murder movie. ?. You pretty much have it down. Just water breaking or leaking, contractions that come on 5-7 minutes apart for an hour. For me the biggest thing was telling the difference between Braxton hicks and the real contractions. With my first I wasn't sure how I would know if they were real or not. The real ones don't go away when you get up and walk around or drink water.

I can’t tell the difference right now I think. The ones I’m having, my stomach gets really tight, balls up, and it’s like a period type cramp and lasts for a minute or two and I get them often but not constantly. I’m worried I won’t be able to tell the difference but I’ve read that “you just know.” Lol.

As annoying and uncertain as it is, the whole "you'll just know" thing is true. At least it was for me. Haha. They just felt different and became really painful. I didn't go to the birth center though until they were about 2.5 minutes apart lasting for about 45 seconds for over an hour.

Another thing to maybe look out for is when your body completely cleans itself out. That happened with me not too long ago with preterm labor. That, coupled with intense contractions was terrifying. There is a contraction timer on this app that is pretty helpful. You might not get the first few on there but it's a start.

Having went into labor with both my babies the "you just know" concept was a total false statement for me. My back hurt with my first, and apparently that was me being in labor all day and didn't realize it until I was trying to sleep that night and couldn't get comfortable. The pain kicked up a good bit but I was determined to wait until my scheduled Section which was booked for 6 the next morning. I went in and they pushed me to 2am instead. My water broke immediately after they gave me the spinal block, and she was born a little after 2am.
My new little guy arrived yesterday. I've had period like pains for a few days but chalked it up, yet again, to BH and just being on my feet too much. I couldn't sleep. Pain intensified, and I just pushed it off until the *dreaded* Bloody Show happened. I went pee and there was blood in the toilet and a clot when I wiped. I hurried to L&D and they quickly confirmed that I was in active labor. Meds to stop labor failed, and I was at 9cm within 4 hours of being here. So I didn't "just know" by any means. My body gave hints both times, but the only definitive "this is it" I got was when I started to bleed this second time around. If it feels off, go get checked. If it's a new symptom, at the very least, call your on call nurse. These babies sure don't wait for anyone. ?

I just remember being super emotional. Feeling the urge to use the bathroom like every 5 minutes. And feeling like period cramps type of tummy ache.

I agree with Luna. That statement is so not right lol, not with my first it wasn’t! Any pain i got past 40 weeks I was at the hospital thinking this was it. The pain to me was intense but it was only the start. I didn’t know what to expect even after reading and looking at several videos. Now with #2 I kinda know but this pregnancy has been so different already it puts me back in the “I don’t know”. Lol He could come early! I will labor at home as long as I can though. I don’t want to make the mistake in going in too early. The main thing I’ll do is pay attention to contractions and time them.

I didn’t know, didn’t have a bloody show or any signs of preterm labor. I just woke up in the middle of the night 35w 3d and thought I had to poop until I hurt so bad I was crying. Got to the hospital at 9.5 cm.

Baby number 6 here and I always just have a gut feeling it's time. I don't know for sure and sit around wonderin for hoursssss sometimes of labor was slow I sat around in slow labor for a day or two. then all of a sudden something makes me go "ok. I'm n labor" only then do I get the I just know feeling. I'm watching closely for signs but in the end u come to a point where you just know or u look back and see the signs that were there after the fact

Well I can tell you with my last baby (number 4) the “you just know” was partially true. Apparently I had been in labor most of the day and just chalked it up to Braxton Hicks. I get the often and strong especially the more babies I have. Around 9:30 pm they started getting very painful (couldn’t talk through them). I told my hubby and we called the sitter and went to the hospital. Got there around 10:30 and was 4-5 cm dilated. Had my bloody show when I went to the bathroom to put on my gown. I was at 10 cm 30 minutes later and baby was here soon after that. So yes I “knew” but it was a pretty close call.
