Mini pill users (may be TMI)
No periods? Anyone else have this? I started taking it at 6 weeks pp and quit bf at 6 months. Dd is almost 15 months now and I've only had 2 periods. First was 11 months pp second was 12. So I thought my cycle was back to normal. Then the last two months I've only had a day or two of spotting, which I'm assuming is just a really light period. Anyone else have little to no bleeding on the mini pill?
Starting TWW. Anyone else? I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Short Luteal Phase? I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
(Thread Closed) What Are you ladies up to tonight? I’m sitting here drinking some wine debating on taking a pregnancy test. I don’t really think I’m pregnant, but I have a leftover one in my purse from my last pregnancy. I usually get my period at the end of the month around the 20th and I haven’t gotten it yet. I am only 6 months pp and only have had two periods since having Jane. The chances I’m pregnant are slim to none to be honest, but it’s in the back of my head.
I have had two people tell me they see a line. Does anyone else see a second line?
I’m cramping so bad but no period. Breastfeeding, on mini pill. Haven’t had a period postpartum yet and baby is 9.5 months. BFN on pregnancy test. 🤷 ♀ any one else have this ?

Honestly, it can be somewhat normal. However, if you are no longer breast feeding, they (obgyn) typically would rather you be on a stronger form of birth control than the mini pill. Mini pill is usually only used for woman that are Breastfeeding and many woman have a higher incidence of getting pregnant on it. This is unless you an your obgyn specifically put you on this for long term usage.

And pregnancy tests are negative?
The mini pill doesn't suppress ovulation like the regular pill. It just makes your cervical mucus thicker so implantation is less likely (regular pill does that also).

Carlie I have a blood clotting disorder so I can't use anything with estrogen. So yes I'm on the mini pill long term. My options are limited without estrogen and dh and I decided we are ok with the effectiveness of the mini pill.
And yes I take a pregnancy test pretty much once a month, sometimes more, lol. I'm so paranoid I'm having dreams I'm pregnant and just didn't know. That's why I'm wondering if this is normal.

Have you been tracking your basal body temperature or other fertility tracking methods?
I, admittedly, am still on the mini pill even though I gave up bf 9 months ago. I breastfed for 19 months and got my period back at 18.5m because we weaned down to one feeding a few months prior. But, once it came back it was back every month (although slightly irregular spacing and duration).

I take the mini pill due to being high risk of blood clots. I hate it! I have had my period twice a month since my period returned in Jan! I want to quit taking it but really am not ready for another baby. I think I might be fine bc it really took me 10 yrs to conceive my second, no birth control the whole time. But I don't want to take any chances!

Wow Daisy it sounds like we're having opposite reactions to it! I don't mind not having a period and I know some bc methods cause that, I just wasn't sure if its normal for this one.

I started the mini pill at 6weeks pp i started it last month on the 22nd i had two periods last month. This month i havent gotten it yet im so paranoid also that I feel like taking a test but i might just wait

Daisy - that's why I'm afraid of the shots or the implant! There's no way to stop it. My niece got the implant and bled for like 2 months straight.

I'm still on the mini pill and just stopped breastfeeding a week ago. i haven't gotten my period at all since I started taking it and my ob said that that happens sometimes (the no period or multiple periods and spotting).
