Definitely my child then SO! I LOVE my SO but he has more of a chance getting out...a baby would need help.

This is incredibly selfish and horrible, but right now I would choose my husband. I'm pregnant with our first child, but I wouldn't be able to picture myself moving on without my husband. I would be so DEVASTATED if my baby girl died and I would risk/give my life for her in a heartbeat- but this would be a very difficult decision for me. Now ask me this question when my daughter is here... and I wouldn't know how to answer this ?

I asked my SO that and he said I wouldn't have to worry most walls break down and have 12-16 beams he would save the kid and tell me to get the dogs out. So idk guess being married to a handyman has its benefits

If he was being serious then I would be upset about that comment but sounds like he was joking from what you described.

As for me I think my instinct would be save our girls. I love them all equally but the need to protect the kiddies would be too strong to ignore for me I think.

Men speak without thinking I would take it with a pinch of salt, my oh says silly things without thinking it through first then usually after he realises how it sounds, perhaps it's his weird way of saying he wants more babies lol x

I may get s*** for this.. but I would save my hubby first. I believe that spouses should come before children. Plus, if I save him, we both have a better chance at saving our baby if we work together to do it. My baby couldnt help me save my husband.

Theres no doubt I would choose my child but your s.o does have a point that underlies the truth that we dont want to hear. If you lost your child you can always make another. You loose your s.o then you loose your partner that could make your little one. Theres no wrong or right answer but in a survival matter us humans live to reproduce. You saving your s.o makes the better sense

Guys are different thinkers. But that would bother me, too. I would save my son first. I think it isn't about love, but thinking they are so innocent and defenseless when.hubby is definitely not.

I'm sure he was trying to be sweet by saying he'd save me. But my babies are way more important :)

I honestly would save my child first then probably die trying to save my husband too.

Hubby said something the other day then said our baby when he comes will be number one and not me anymore. And I said yes, he should be number one and that I'm glad that he chose him first, then hubby said we'll both be number one. .. but once the baby comes, he'll take precision.

I would do exactly the same.. What kills me is which child I would get first... I always think about that and it scares me
