My husband usually brings it in and opens and bills, and then just throws it all on the table. Later, I go through and clip any coupons, throw all the junk away and put the bills on our desk until we pay them.

We're paperless, the only mail we get is junk and usually hits the garbage can before it makes it inside. Zero clutter that way!
deleted-user·
Certain bills are paperless because we get a discount for them. The ones that change each month we get sent along with our phone bill.
We don't shred anything. We tear it up a bunch though if it needs to be.
I do let it pile up in the box though because I don't really leave since I have a newborn.

In piles in multiple places...then I get a fire under my arse and start pitching it in the trash(after looking through ?)
deleted-user·
Goes in a pile on the table ? we are so bad. I mean we go thru and sort but it still stays in the pile
Iris·
Ugh! I think I'm going to get motivated and get it all out today!
Or maybe not ?

We are mostly paperless because everything is on autopay. The few pieces we get, that are important, I have a plastic tote with all important crap and I pile it on there til it's starting to get outta control, then spend an afternoon filing it all.

You can do it!

I handle the mail. I go through it every day and rip up and throw away the junk. I write out checks for any bills and put it in the envelope but I have my husband look it over so he knows it goes out. Then it is sent out the next day. My husband has no clue of the due dates for anything so I make sure I keep everything in order. My MIL's dining room table is littered with mail and we lived there for a year and a half so I've learned not to let that happen haha.

I always go paperless. The few things I get in the mail are usually junk.

Most of our bills are paperless. My husband handles most of the Bills. We have a mailbox we live in a development and sometimes I don't get my mail for days lol. It piles up fast. I don't shred I just rip stuff up
deleted-user·
I don't do paperless or else il loft get to pay bills, we shred everything for security purposes we don't throw anything away with our name and address on it, especially stuff with account numbers on it. I usually file all of our bills Ina filing cabinet. I like to have paper copies of everything just in case we need them for something.

Am I the only one who loves mail! I get mostly magazines in the mail though.
deleted-user·
I was just telling Steve this! We need to get our mail under control. I already have a pile in the drawer. Im just so paranoid to throw anything away so I keep it all ?
deleted-user·
I grab from the mailbox, and immediately throw away the trash. We live in the country, so we burn our trash.
deleted-user·
We have gone mostly paperless but the mail we do receive we open and categorize. We have a "to shred" box in which any unneeded mail with personal info goes and dh takes it to work with him to shred once it's full. Junk mail with no personal info gets tossed. We have another "to keep" box for important mail.

I'm lazy like you. ?

I get excited for mail lol. I get bills but Im a dork. You never know what youll get.
Iris·
Kinda glad to see I'm not the only lazy one.
Maybe I can hire someone to come every two weeks to purge my mail for me. ?
deleted-user·
Pile of doom until I take a day to sort them out in my filing box. Labeled and dated.
deleted-user·
It's piled up, we need to get a shredder for sensitive information, I was just telling so today thankfully we didn't have one as we need statements & bills for our lawyer dating back a year.
deleted-user·
I never accept credit card junk mail; I always write 'return to sender, remove from mailing list' on it. I recycle local ads outside so it's never piling up in my house. Most of my bills are paperless.
deleted-user·
I open what I need to and file it. Other than that I shred the junk mail.
deleted-user·
I love shredding mail lol. Once a week we go through it (I keep it in a fabric covered shoe box that sits on the breakfast bar. Once we go through and take out what's needed the rest goes in the shred pile on top of the shredder.
