Yes! That’s the first thing I do when I wake up. I check multiple times a Day also.

I check the community lost and found and the pets part. And nothing. ?
It’s getting pretty emotionally exhausting with preparing for the new baby and my 2 boys. Dh thinks I’m stressing too much about it and to just concentrate on the future things like the baby and things like that but it’s hard not to think about Milo not being here. I was so excited to bring the new baby home and see how he is with Laith since he started being really attached to me about a month ago. I couldn’t even go pee without him coming in and putting his face on my knee.
And he would constantly smell and push his nose in my belly ??.
He was a huge part of my life. I just hope he’s safe and happy right now.
I know you put up flyers but have you tried looking on Craigslist for anyone who might be trying to sell him? A friend of mine had her husky stolen from her backyard and she ended up finding him on Craigslist. Esp if your dog is purebred, people will do anything for some extra money.
No update. Dh left work earlier to go check the shelters but still no luck. ?
Can you contact the chip company and have them check the location? I should know that answer because my cats have chips but I’m not recalling if that’s an option with them.

Are you on Nextdoor.com? In my neighborhood, many people find their pets through this app/website.
Thanks for all the suggestions. We put up flyers at our local vets and I’ve been to 3 of the local shelters with no luck. I will go look at them tomorrow again.
It’s been so quiet around the house without him lol. He and my 3 year constantly talk and play together. I just hope he’s okay! We live on an expressway so I hope he didn’t get hit by a car. And I’m always casing and looking around everywhere when I’m out of the house. As for going and knocking on doors, I haven’t but dh did with the neighborhoods around us which is only 3. He loves kids so yesterday I was looking at parks and apartment complexes. ?
Go door to door in nearby neighborhoods. That's what the people did today and they found their dog that i had found 3 hours earlier. But e wasn't chipped. I hope you find your dog. Someone said on my post you can call the radio stations and have it aired.
I would definitely let all local vets know. That way if someone brings in a new dog they will scan his chip and see if its yours.
Try putting dirty clothing from you and the other members of your family on the porch. Also boil several hot dogs in water and set the whole pot outside while it’s hot with the hotdogs and water still in it. That’s a smell that travels. If he’s still running loose he will probably be hungry and if he’s within about a mile radius he will smell it. You can also try boiling some of his dog food and setting it out the same way. Setting stuff out boiling hot will actually help the smell travel further and still be a strong smell making it easier for them to follow the scent.
Sorry op your dog isn't back yet.. Go to the vet and leave them flyers.. A couple of months ago when our dog got Lost..a couple grab him and took hin with them to a suburb. We posted him on Facebook. Thankfully the lady took our dog.to the vet to get checked and get shots. While she was waiting another lady asked her about our dog she told her she got him in Chicago. Well the other lady went to see if our dog was listed as lost and she found our dogs post and called the vet to let them know the lady who had brought our dog in was a lost dog. The vet called the lady and she got in contact with us.. Thankfully the lady took her time out her day to look up our dog and say the post.. If it wasnt for her I don't think we would of gotten him back.
1) Check your local shelters. Go in person and go more than once because I have learned that you should never rely on websites being updated. Some dogs don’t make it on the website. Some will be mislabeled online as the wrong gender or age. Sometimes the pictures don’t do enough because dogs may look different after being out in the elements. Always go in person.
2) Check all shelters in the area, even the ones for nearby areas. Dogs can cover very large distances and can move out of one jurisdiction and into another, easily. Especially large dogs. Bring photographs of your dog to the Shelters with you. Many shelters allow you to list your pet as lost so they will keep an eye out for similar dogs that come in.
3) Put up flyers around your neighborhood. Many times, dogs are taken in by a neighbor while the neighbor tries to find an owner.
4) Look for local Facebook groups in your town for lost and found pets. We have 2-3 in our area alone. Join them all. Post your lost pet report there and check it often. If you have a local Facebook group for your area, see if you can post there too. Get it in front of as many eyes as possible.
5) Don’t rely that someone will just contact you if your dog is found. You need to look actively and visit shelters often. The shelters around me only have a 3 day hold until they list a pet up for adoption, or 10 days if they have a collar with tag or microchip. However, someone could miss a microchip or forget to scan for one. So don’t take that for granted.
5)Try websites like lostmydoggie.com. You can report your dog as lost here too, and use the site to print out free lost dog flyers.

Haven’t heard any rumors or anything about his whereabouts. Dh thinks someone found him and decided to keep him. I still am giving hope that he will get to come home though.
Have you gone door knocking in your area? My dogs ran away years ago together, i thought they were gone for good but i kept searching. 3 days later about 2 blocks away i knocked on this lady's door, and she had them there the whole time looking after them, feeding them. I was kinda pissed that she didn't take them to animal control, but was so grateful they were ok. Another time my dog I've got now ran away, she was gone for 4 days. I rang the pound everyday and they said she wasn't there. Finally i decidied to just go and look and low and behold she was in there! She had only been there for 2 of the 4 days she was missing though so i have no idea what she had been doing for the 2 days prior! They said she was found about an hour and a half walk from our house too! So don't give up hope! I hope you find your fur baby soon!

Mamabird, our city animal welfare site updates every hour anytime an animal gets a number when they get brought in. I called to make sure that their website was utd.
Today it’s raining and not that much ice on the roads so dh is out driving in nearby neighborhoods to see.
I had a few friends and family post on fb for me but nothing as of yet. ?
My 3rd yr old, I didn’t even think he could miss a dog this much but last night he started crying because he couldn’t give Milo a kiss goodnight. I feel like the most terrible person and it’s all because I didn’t lock my damn door like I always do.
Call animal control. Dogs that come in stray are usually quarantined for 10 days, given a full physical, behavior assessment, etc and wouldn't be put online for days.
Call the company that he's microchipped through ad report him lost so as soon as he's scanned the info will show up and they can contact you directly from the vet/pet shop instead of having to have everyone play telephone back and forth. Social media works great as well as checking your local shelters first thing in the morning, noon and an hr before closing as it can take an hr to get them in the system sometimes. Accidents happen but don't feel bad, I hope you find him soon and I hope he's safe and sound having a nice sleepover with a kind stranger.

My pup bolted when fireworks went off the week after July 4th. I was a mess! I drove all over, put up signs, and called shelters.
Come to find out someone picked him up at the gas station a couple blocks away, and was feeding him hot dogs while he played with their other two dogs. He had a sleepover eating weiners while I was bawling my eyes out.

Hey it happens. My cat got out and was gone for a week before coming back. I felt like crap because we're in the country and I thought maybe something bigger got him. When he did come back I held that little booger for hours. Same happened with a few other pets I've got. All but one came back. When my 2 dogs took off I was so scared I'd never see them again. They came running up the road hours later. One of them died a week later and to this day I feel like total crap because I'm not sure if she got a hold of something that killed her. And her sister was depressed for weeks. So that made it worse.

Our dog hot lost plenty of times and we put him in Facebook lost dogs... Good luck our dog has gotten out 2 times.
Go to the pound/animal shelters tomorrow morning and see if anyone has either turned him in, if he was picked up, or if someone has filled out a found card. Also fill out a lost card with the shelters but keep checking back. Hopefully he is somewhere warm.

I put him on nextdoor. And craigslist but without a pic because I’m scared a stranger will just tell people (if anyone has him) that he’s their dog.
He does have a chip so I hope someone is kind enough to take him in to get scanned. I keep checking the animal welfare site as well.
He’s been gone for about 9 hours now. I just hope he’s warm in someone’s home right now. ? it feels weird not having him follow me around everywhere.

I thought my dog ran away this morning. I called and called for him before going inside, getting dressed, and taking off walking. I get outside and he comes out from under the porch. Dork was asleep. I was in panic mode at this point.
Hope you find him tho. I agree with posting a bolo on local pet pages. If you have friends or family in the are then have them share the lost also. Also drive around calling his name if you can.
Oh no! I hope you find him as well! When I was visiting my family, before I had dd, I brought my dog with me and my brother accidentally let her get out via an open backdoor. I was with a friend and we came rushing back to find her. I was calling out for her for an hour and I was able to locate her just down the street. She came running straight back to me and I cried so hard.
